Gomen, I didn't mean that in a condesending way or anything. I just don't think it will be "Above and Beyond II". That would be incredibly unorthadox for any competent DJ x__x;

The majority of DJs prefer vinyls over CDs. I believe the sound quality of vinyls is actually better than CDs, but I can't say for sure.

Way back in the day (1980s or so), vinyls were the #1 "tool of choice" to DJs, since you can slow or speed up the song and do what DJs call "scratching", which is still done even today (of course, with the help of some much better equipment and technology)

But don't some DJ's use CD's now when they play and mix them digitally? I'm pretty sure the DJ at the club I frequent most does this.

Yea... these days, DJs use CDs as well (I've seen them too), along with laptops and mixing programs. I guess it could be a nostalgic feeling that some DJs still use vinyls, or that they generally sound better than CDs.

If nothing else, vinyl is just way cooler for its rarity factor!

My parents have two...and one of my friends has one hooked up to his computer. They're still around out there.
