I like Ladies Night so far. It's pretty catchy.

As for rainy day, it's good but I was hoping for a powerful ballad not something simple. I'm sure once I hear the whole song, my opinion will change.

I'm starting to wonder if the B&D/Pride singles should've been "rainy day/ ladies night". I think it would've made a MUCH better relese.

Agreed! But "B&D/Pride" was mostly like releasing something she likes kind of thing. Like she was trying new stuff.

The songs are excellent in my opinion. Excellent. I love Ladies Night and it's electronica type of feel.

The previews were rather simple and repetitive. 'rainy day' reminds me of a bootleg 'Close to you', I'm hoping the part they played isn't the chorus, it's pretty weak. Ladies Night is catchy, but ehhh... both songs sound too girly and cutesy for me.

And ugh 'rainy day' sounds like a HAL arrangement. They use the same damn synthy sounds in every song.

Not bad, but I'm really not too excited either.

Ladies night sounds like a party song. It's very cheerful and makes me happy.
Rainy Day reminds me of Teddy bear and close to you. Me like^^

Overall...REALLY looking forward to the album.

well, this is good for 32 seconds! I think Ladies Night and Bold and Delicous will help out her tour a lot! Rainy day and Pride go hand in hand.... ok. I like both songs.

I'm sure the part from "rainy day" is the chorus.

I'm almost 100% sure that it will be better than "MY STORY".

I love Ladies Night based on the preview. It completely sounds like Gwen or Madonna or Tomoko...and I love all those artists! So it works for me.

rainy day...is nice. I'm not leaping for joy over it though. I'll have to wait to hear the whole song/watch the PV.
My thoughts exactly.

I love both! I came to this thread before listening and someone said it was disco, and I was thinking oh no...

But I love them both! And that voice!

hmm.. although the previews are repetitive and seems pretty simple, I guess the full version of both songs will be different. Rainy Day sounds nicer than Ladies' Night, in my opinion. But I still have to listen to the entire thing to be certain about it.

No. The 5/8 singles are good.
The album tracks don't sound promising.

Ladies Night - WOW...I LOVE it! and i usually go for the simple songs! (End Roll, Ever Free, HANABI, Voyage, rainy day(hehehe) )
but i LOVE this song!
It's so fun! and I was RIGHT! My thought of a mix of B&G and MNW! w00!
i absolutly LOVE IT!-sings: IMA SUGU MUKU EIEN NI KUWA!
AAHHH AHAH! II SHOUNI NEITEMO ISHI!!!!

Rainy Day: the voice she used remided me of HONEY (Oh noes!) but the tune was good. Very good. I love this one as well.

This album is gotta be a taker now.

Well now, I can see some people haven't changed their views on Ayu's new stuff xD

Anyways, these songs are fresh and 'new'. A big change! Although, I do hope that this 'change' lasts only for this era. The songs are good, but I hope that the title track will make me melt.

And for those of you expecting something of Ayu's to make you cartwheel over in delightful musicgasm, I think you shouldn't expect something from her like that.. because that'll never happen. Did 'I am..' make people do that? I don't think sooo ~ xD

I agree - despite the good tracks on the album, the weaker tracks have gone from being generic to just plain crap, and if she keeps putting in tracks like B&D and Ladies Night, then this is going to be her worst release yet. I honestly thought MY STORY was her weakest album, but it's gold compared to this - at least with MY STORY there was some effort, with a proper photoshoot - (miss)understood's covers look like they were taken with the cheapest digital camera you can buy, and so far most of the tracks for it are her worst yet. I thought B&D was the worst Ayu could go, but then she produces Ladies Night, so I have no hopes for this album being good, and no, it doesn't have a fresh sound to me because others have done this kind of thing before. It can't have a fresh sound if others have done it recently, and years ago.

People don't want cliched endings, yet they don't want sad endings either. They don't want Ayumi to produce songs too much the same; yet when she tries something different, it gets shot down as generic, not original enough for their tastes, or something that constitutes along the lines of crap. What else is there left? Some people are just so damn hard to please. Go ahead and express your opinions, but some of the rotten attitudes piss me off. Sorry.

I agree with some of you that Rainy Day is simple and repetitive, but I think that's what makes it nice.

Ladies Night sounds loud. I don't know what to think of it, but I doubt I'll like it anymore than I do Step You, which wasn't that good of a song in my opinion.
