[2006] best voice in J-Music [female]

I can't get what's so special about Hikki's voice though O_O

I vote for Mika as my favourite because there is no Ayu in the list xD.Anyway, Mika has a great voice and she always sings beautifully. My second choice would be Hikki and third would be Angela Aki.

Of those listed I would say Kumiko Koda, but personally I like Yuna Ito, Namie Amuro, and AI better.

Its between Utada and Angela for me, but Angela's falsetto annoys me occasionally, so I picked Hikki. Her vocals are superb.

MISIA's voice isn't bad either.. But instead of Mika, Yuna Ito would make a better comparison.

From this list, I would have to say Koda. Utada has a great studio voice, but I've seen her concerts and I don't think she sings very well live.

Mika also is 50/50 for me. If she is on, she sounds great, but often times she doesn't sound very good live. Koda is the only one who has shown consistency in being able to sing well live.

These should have been on the list though: Nokko, Ayumi, Namie. I would have picked any of those three over the current list.

This list isn't very thorough or well thought out, it seems.. I don't think Koda should even be on it, but out of it I guess Utada.

This is hard. To me, having the best voice is to be able to have complete control over it. Mika is my favorite J-pop artist but I wouldn't say she has "the best" voice. What makes me love her is that her songs contain highly artistic elements, not to mention her PVs (aside from a few).
There's a reason why Koda Kumi's where she is now. Her vocals are strong and she's capable of singing in lower octaves that not that many female artists can reach. She'd even sound flawless when she performs live. I'd say that at times, her live vocals would sound even better than her studio recordings.

this was hard. Mika has a really good voice, Koda has a good voice too but I don't think she has a really strong voice. Angela Aki is really good also but I don't know. Minmi has a really unique deep voice so that gives her some points.

But I have to say Hikki. lol
