i believe because most Asian music isn't marketed in america, so by sharing it on here, we aren't really taking away from the artist considering it isn't being sold in america (this is an american made forum i believe)

anyways, Bjork is coming out with a new album go to her website and find out more. (www.bjork.com)

More Details Emerge On New Björk Album

Björk has set a release date for her new album, "Volta." According to her Web site, the Atlantic effort will drop May 7 and with feature guest appearances from LFO's Mark Bell, drummer Chris Corsano (Sonic Youth, Six Organs Of Admittance) and Chinese pipa player Min Xiao-Fen. She also assembled at 10-piece all-female brass section, formed of musicians from her home country Iceland.

More about the album on Bjork.com

Quote:
Featuring ten brand new and original tracks ‘Volta’ is entirely written and produced by Björk.
Seems like a small album but maybe she'll have some old songs with reworked beats.

Exclusive: Bjork Talks Volta for the Very First Time

Quote:
In the first part of a series that will continue over the course of the coming weeks, Björk talks about the rhythms of Volta: how they're different from the rhythms of her previous work, and how a trip to tsunami-stricken Indonesia inspired the life-force behind the beats.
The picture of her on that site is wonderful.

Seems like the ambience of Björk's music goes really well with the club feel of Nelly's Promiscuous.

I have to admit that I was skeptical of Björk's sudden change in direction. But now I feel more confident in Volta. It sounds like it'll be an awesome album, and I hope that it'll top the charts.

I really hope Volta doesn't sound like that, because DR9 really wasn't my thing. I want something completely different, but still Bjork.

I'm not sure if that's the confirmed cover though, because nowhere has officially stated that it is (at least to my knowledge). Even though it's posted on the official site, I think it's still under discussion. However, I think it is definitely a cool cover if that actually is it. I just want to hear previews of the music. The suspense is killing me!

Hey Bjork fans, I'm just dropping in cause I have a question... do you know about an Inuk throat singer named Tanya Tagaq? I've been trying to download some of her music after I heard her song used in a documentary and she had a beautiful haunting voice... anyways people compare her music style to Bjork's, and apparently they've collaborated (so says her website). Anyone know her? Songs? I'm having trouble finding her stuff...
