I just discovered, I love her voice! She's CAN sing. Reminds me a bit of Koda Kumi and Crystal Kay.

I'm really not seeing what's so great about either of the songs. They're both extremely mediocre R&B mid-tempo tracks. I don't know, I want to like her because I like her style, but I'm really not into the songs. Hopefully I find her next release to be more appealing.

Aye true, so far she has released very safe tracks, nothing outstanding, I hope her album won't be like that too much. I want to her to DIVA!!!

I knew people would compare her to Crystal Kay, that's sooo typical.

You know, when I made this thread, I wasn't expecting it to die so fast especially since her single is still doing well on the charts.

Anyway....

Soba ni Iru ne is currently #1 for 6 weeks on the Recochoku Charts. Yay! It's currently in #3 on the charts and has been in the top 5 for 6 consecutive weeks. Woot! The single has sold 277,400 copies so far.

Why do they hate her? What did she do except sell excellently with a single? She has talent *_________________* her voice is so cool...she makes a lot of collaborations! I am waiting for the collabo with MAKAI (album version) *O*

OMG! She looks like she's mixed with African-American in her in those pics. She looks very beautiful but she has too much weave.

The comparisons with Crystal Kay are inevitable, but I think Crystal has a smoother voice, whereas Thelma's voice is stronger. I really like Thelma's vocals though, and she's got a couple solid tracks on DIARY. It's mostly general catchy material, but not bad for a debut album.
