Yup it happens as you get older unfortunately. Like your cheeks begin to lose its fullness and I guess that's why older people get botox and collagen injection in their cheeks and such. (Like it's more obvious in some than others, depending on your facial shape)

when I was reading this a small remembrance occurred to me...
NTV 2004 report said smth like

"oh, this Ayu we saw 4 years ago full of ambitions and energy, with bright eyes...(talked about NTV report 2000)...and Ayu we see now...the fire in the eyes have gone"

that was what made me saaaad

I never matter, what a singer looks like. If she would be not as pretty, as she is.. I also would love her music.
When i first listend to her Music, I hadn't any Idea, what she looks like. But... because I really liked her Music, I wanted to listen more from her.
Sure.. she is a pretty women. But.. in her beginnings.. I didn't thought, she was that pretty. She looked ok.. but she was not as pretty as now.

I don't know, I never found her to be beautiful to be honest...Cute maybe, but not beautiful.

I do believe that Ayu's beauty does play a part in her popularity, but I don't think it's the main reason as to why she is famous.
