nobody deserves that.

1st she does look good (even if I want her to change her hair and her boots !)

2nd : concerning the songs... I like them but it sounds too "easy" : I mean it really sounds as a PLAY track ! 60's 70's 80's were awesome and I was expecting more for those tracks (especially because they're on a BEST OF)

3rd : concerning the video : Namie looks good. Sexy Girl dance routine is really GREAT but the video looks a little cheap. Do Me More seems less cheap but the whole video is a little boring or that type of song.

4rth : Namie defitively CAN SING !!! ok she gots way more uptempos but SHE CAN SING (and even if I'm an Ayu stan, I say that vocally Namie is way better than Ayu and Kuu...). Rihanna CAN'T. no comparision.

It is that person's opinion, and although I don't agree with most of the points (although I sorta see the dancing point. Namie's choreography is average at best. She can follow the moves well, and kudos for her for able to dance and sing, but I dunno, her dancing doesn't interest me that much...)

yikes some reviewers can be harsh, jealous perhaps?

totally uncalled for comments, so no - namie didn't deserve that kind of review.

That guy is judging her image more than her style.
He even admits that she sings catchy tunes. Singing catchy songs.. isn't that what good music is all about??

Well, unfortunately, I am agree with the comment. Sexy Girl and Do Me More are very boring. Her 'new look' is kinda disappointing for me. And I do think she shouldn't release this best fiction. Bad choice

Sex is so evil! Being comfortable with one's own sexuality enough to sing SONGS that deal with it is so not hip or cool, amirite?

How, pray tell, is that a bad thing, and how does Namie not cover up? I haven't seen any un-covered coochie from her side, or tits, for that matter.

Also: Madonna, anyone? Yes? Then shut up.

You guys also should read into messages more. dddaiyamondo isn't saying she should start wearing a fricking chastity belt. Just tone it down a little.

He said "put some clothes on", as if namie had her private parts only covered by thin rags almost 24/7. Actually, namie hardly shows much of her parts, she does try some bondage-y stuff or some tighter sexier clothes, but "put some clothes on"? I mean, I've hardly (and honestly can't even remember) seem her wearing clothes (or lack of clothes) like kuu in JUICY/CRAZY4U (maybe i'1m looking all the wrong photoshoots and PVs then). If you're going to generalize, you have to accept that other ppl generalize in their replies too.

You can say all bad things about namie, but I just think the statement that a woman who has a child has to become completely censored in what she should wear to be quite extreme LOL Namie earns a place in jpanese music because she's doing fairly well into exploring the hip-hop genre. Hip-hop usually has a close relation to sexy lyrics, dance and other things. If namie were to play a different character, she'd probably become plain like BoA, with not much of a identity nowadays? Namie chose a path in her career that works better for her. i don't think the fact she's a mother should condemn her to not invest on her career and image she portrays. I personally think she's far more behaved than she should, taking by some og the content of her lyrics.

I can see where the Reviewer is coming from somewhat.

But besides that. I don't see any problem here. We live in a world where it seems only good things should be said about certain people and things and if you don't like them then you shouldn't have the right to speak your mind. I don't agree with this mindset. If someone doesn't like someone or something that I like, I hold no ill will towards them nor do I think they shouldn't have said it. It's natural and it's the way the world works and it's ok.

And let's not assume just because someone has reviewed something that they in fact purchased the item or listens to it on a regular basis if at all. It's a fact that you don't know whether you like something unless you first LISTEN TO IT. It's that simple. So the user listened, decided he/she didn't like it and wrote their feelings on it. So many on here, including me, knew what "Sexy Sexy" and "Do Me More" sounded like before it was released, therefore we hadn't purchased it. This person could have and probably did find some way to hear whichever songs over the internet without purchasing them. People on here do it everyday and you all know it.

It's okay to disagree with the person, but to say they should "shut up" or should "stop being stupid by listening to music they don't like" is wrong because as I said, you don't know if you like something unless you listen to it and they could have listened one time over the internet and decided they didn't like it.

This is all.

Oh yeah that's totally it isn't it. NICE TRY. I don't defend someone just because they are my favorite artist. I would have said the same thing for anyone else. It's not like I'm saying "OMG YOU SUCK HOW CAN YOU NOT LIKE HER MUSIC YOU FREAKING ***** ADADASFASKLJFASFSA" like a rabid fan. It would be totally different if dddaiyamondo and the person who reviewed at yesasia would have focused on the music that she produces rather than the way that she dresses and how she raises her son.

Tone it down a little? Honestly what does she need to tone down to satisfy you people? You're acting like she goes around acting promiscuous just because of her image in some songs. LOL. Please. Everyone knows Namie is shy as hell. She's just able to express a different side of her in her music, and there's nothing wrong with that. Her songs deal with sexual lyrics because that's how hip-hop and RnB is. Also, I'm curious, could someone point out to me the most provacative she's dressed? Is it the miniskirts? Oh, right. Wearing short skirts must mean that you are a ****. Nevermind the fact that that's just bringing the woman's movement back 100 years. **** that. You act like she wants to hump everything in sight.

Sex/sexuality is a normal part of life so I can't understand the stigma people have with it and the assumption that if it is used in songs that that artist is "selling out". Freedom of expression, anyone?

I guess Madonna's 11 year-old daughter is already corrupted because Madonna is still a sex symbol, even at almost 50 years old. Burn her at the stakes!

FINALLY, someone intelligent.

And it makes me lol because these people don't know what it's like to be a single mother and be in the music biz. Have you even gone through what Namie's gone through? You shouldn't say such things then because you haven't been in her position.

And I dissagree with you because all I see on j-pop forums is constant *****ing, I don't know where you've been where it's all about positivity; it's definitely not this place.

It's completely fine to not like her MUSIC, but to attack her personally like that is just vile and you know it. So you're saying it's okay for public figures to get such insults thrown at them just because they're public figures? Granted, of course, being in showbiz requires a thick skin, but to me it's the same thing as talking about someone when they're not in the room to defend themselves.

Besides, it's not like people can give any good reason to dislike Namie the person anyway.

Happening to defend an artist or person with completely well-thought out and logical reasons is better than someone just bashing someone for completely shallow and superficial reasons. Please. Saying we shouldn't do so is just weak-minded. Someone has to speak up.

^Wow, I think you need to stop swearing and also stop being rude, that is not hip or cool!

The reviewer is rude and probably is an antifan, but they have some good points! Namie is getting old and she is acting very unclassy and skanky at some times, which she should tone down. Once you have a child I would think you should become a little more ladylike and be a little less sexual in your image! I wouldn't want to hear about my mom asking for someone "DO ME MORE", I don't know about you guys!

I agree. I don't think Namie is acting "unclassy" or skanky" though. I just think as you age especially if you have a child, you should start to just bring down the sexy level a bit. If my mom started going on stage singing "Oh boy, you are sooooo hot, I haven't felt like this in ages, We keep doing it again and again, but Ah...hey, gimme one mo' stroke" [WANT ME, WANT ME] I'd be so disturbed =\ And then my friends might say "Your mom is so effin hot" (which has happened and I seriously wanted to punch their face) I dunno. whatev. People can think what they want. I still love Namie <3

wait, wait....You mean "your mom", but namie is not your mother. She knows what's best to her child AND her career, not you guys. Actually, I'd never want my mother to be a singer, ever, but because of it, I'm supposed to wish all female singers who have a child should quit business? That's the most nonsensical stuff I've ever heard in quite a while, and personally, it sounds like something a paternal authority from a few centuries ago would pull. Actually, even with all the sexiness, there's a chance namie's chjild will be better raised than several other children who have parents on PC jobs. People should definitely care about their families, but they shouldn't quit the chance of growing in their career just because of people's judgements. And ppl shouldn't mix someone's career/business/job to what they have as family, specially if they work in the artist business. Should a male actor who has children be completely condmned of not making any violent movie just because they have children? That seriously doesn't make sense, as much as I try to see it.

You got offended by that? I'd actually say: "Yeah, she's very hot,...unlike yours" I personally don't see how that is even a problem. It's a compliment after all. That's like getting angry and wanting to beat ppl just because they said your mother is intelligent or pretty.

Huh? Namie's child is going to turn out better than us kids who have regular parents? I just don't think it's appropriate for her to have such a sexy image when she's a mother. I don't know if it's appropriate for a girl to sing about "poppin' coochie" or requesting "do me more." And no, not all mothers know what's best for their children, look at Britney.

Yes if fact I did get offended. When I hear that my mom is hot it's just sounds like he was picturing her naked and just wanted to screw her. If he said my mom is cute, pretty, sweet then alright. but whatev. I guess it's just me then.

No, I don't know anyone who wouldn't get offended by someone talking about their mom like that. I knew a kid who had a really pretty mom and he beat a kid up for talking about her in a sexual way.

I guess I live around ppl who are cool headed then. Because the majority of my friends wouldn't really mind that. I think this is something really petty to even waste your neurones. Ok, they find uyour mom hot and they voice it? so what? OMG, it's not like my mother would even get hurt by that. Calling someone "hot" is something, saying a bunch of sexual vulgarities is another.

I'm seriously wondering where you got this, cuz nobody said anything even vaguely like this.
I was saying that you can never generalize. There are mothers who have PC jobs but raise their children terribly, and you can't deny that. If you think the main factor that contributes to someone raising a child is their career, you seriously need to read more into the matter. It can interfere, obviously, but actually, the matter of concern related to an artist's career and their family problems are much more related to how media/papparazi appeal annoy their privacy and the whole artist's traveling and presentation business than what kind of character they have to portray imo. And Britney has a disease (bipolar disorder, which can severely destroy somebody's personal life if not treated promptly), and was diagnosed with it. What caused trouble in Britney's personal life was not so much her career (even though it helped because of the media appeal she has), but her disease and her behavior out of her job, so again, you said something that makes not much sense, as you are comparing "namie's sexy career and the way it might affect she raising her child" and "britney's mental disorder + behavioral changes unrelated to her careeer and how they affected the way she raises her children", which are 2 completely different matters that can't even be closely compared. Actually, Madonna has a very scandalous career, and as far as I know, her children are being raised nicely. So I keep my thoughts that those assumptions are very nonsensical.

I'll be closing this thread though. Too many reported posts already
