The whole thing started of with Fly High PV back in 2002. And I was stuck. I started downloading some of her music, most from LOVEppears and Duty. I loved every piece of her. Ever since then she have always been my favourite asian artist(always on my top 3 favs artists in the world) but it took until 2006 when she became my absolute no 1 fav artist in the world. ^^

AHS married to Maro
~13/1-2010~

Spoiler:
We had such a nice time. We started dating in t2m PV, took it slow you know, let our love grow. Then it got really serious in 2008. Then after AT2009 we moved in together. It was lovely. Then on AT2010 he asked me to marry him. He was such a sweet. And Ayu gave us our blessings. She was also such a sweet. Now me and Maro are such a sweets together. Aaaw, how time flies.

Gosh I've been listening to Ayu for so long its hard to really say. I had bought I am... Summer 2003 so I think once I had listened to that fully for the first time instead of just random songs I had downloaded before then and listened to, that's when she became my favorite artist; I was already listening to her quite a bit before hand, but I'd say that album really spoke to me and helped me with a lot with what was going on in my life at the time as well as her other albums that I bought as soon after I had gotten that. Then much later that year Memorial Address came out... it just amplified her being my favorite. ^__^ Her music means so much to me...

i heard of her when my brother came back from Japan in 1998 and brought home her Boys&Girls single along with Morning Musume Memory Concert VHS and a tape recording of Utada Hikaru music who's album/singles he didn't want to buy as much as Ayu's (it must've been fate for Ayu to reach me!!!). when i listened to all the remixes of Boys&Girls, i got addicted to her UNIQUE voice like no other. i didn't like the original as much... i also like Utada's First Love, totally adored it, but that was the only song that i liked from her and it grew old... and the rest of her music grew old real quick too. but it was different with Ayu.

i LOOOOOVED the single more than any music i owned. i took it everywhere with me. then i thought "i have to find more of her music but where here in the US?" i was sad until there was download programs... so i downloaded more of her music. the next song i found was "Wishing" and "For My Dear". she officially won over aaaaaaall my favorite singers like Faye Wong and Mariah Carey. Ayu just had this magic that kept me addicted to her music, that kept me wanting more... her sound was different and awesome and full of passion. that was when she officially became my favorite.

I first heard of ayu back in 2002/2003, around the time I heard RAINBOW and Over. that's when I came across Divine Ayu website and started learning more information about ayu. I was an instant fan afterwards...

I first started listening to Ayu back in 2000 when Napster was free/illegal (lol) but it wasn't until the evolution release that she was actually established as my favourite artist. I really love her earlier stuff from around that time and before, it was her voice that captivated me because it was so... unrefined. It was "unique" as panda87 said, and that really stuck with me. She's been my favourite artist ever since. I listened only to Ayu for a good 2 years if not more before i even began to listen to other singers.

I may have said in the past that she's no longer my favourite, but I know that's not the truth. No singer is able to pull be back so often as Ayu. I'm even sat here ripping her albums to my computer right now

When Ayu-ro Mix 1 came out. She was the only thing I listened too. Then I found out about other artist and she's not my #1 again. I still like her music though.

Was 2002, when I start to listen Ayu's music.
I'm an otaku, so I listen a lot of anime's opening and ending and I start to interesting in the japanese music.
I was searching more about j-pop and I found 'Ayumi Hamasaki'. 'wow a very cute name :3' I was thinking and I downloaded her latest album, RAINBOW.
I definitely fall in love with her songs, thanks to songs as Voyage and Real Me.

Oh and the first PV that I see was Evolution *__* her cute short hair

Summer of 2001. I somehow stumbled upon a pic of Ayu promoting "WHATEVER" and was immediately interested in her (white hair = so cool!). I decided to look up some of her music and I downloaded "Trust". I thought it was catchy, but I really got hooked when I looked up her lyrics and was touched by their meaning. I then ordered LOVEppears on amazon and that cemented her place as #1 in my heart <3

My first song of Ayumi's was Real Me, but I think the Loveppears album was what really got me hooked. Boys & Girls all the way! ^^ I love that song.
