During the Encore, BoA made an important announcement. Her 7th Japanese album is NOT cancelled, but is set to be released at a later date. According to multi-lemonia, the Japanese album is slated to be released on February 10, 2010 and will be called "IDENTITY".

So she's releasing her album one week after Kumi and I like the title.

Good title. I agree. I have a feeling the cover will feature BoA setting the Best & USA cover on fire....seeing where Avex is going with their new advertising strategy x_x

I think BoA titled it. This album sounds important to her, and she said that fans will see the "real BoA" with this album, so I think IDENTITY is a good title.

ohh that does make sense! i assumed avex always has a hand in picking album titles for some artists, but i guess it's different with BoA this time. sorry for my mistake regardless, i still like the title

I don't think avex chooses album titles... That would be weird. XD I think artists can pick their own album title. Same with songs. Although I guess that the one who composes/writes the song gets to give the song a title too.

Anyway, I'm really looking forward to the new album (even though I would prefer her to go back to Korea!) and I hope to hear more produced/co-produced songs from BoA.

I like the title. IDENTITY does feel like its HER album. But actually, I dont really like THE END, it's not my style of music. O well, BoA has matured so much so I shall just wait and see.

I actually liked her US album...I know it's hard to break into this market though. I hope she just continues to produce music that her fans appreciate
