I still think the release date will be end of march...24th or 31th. The release announcement should really be sometime this week. Someone said stan chan said the album deadline is feb 15th...she should only have the new pv to finish and that's it.

It can be anywhere from 8 to 5 weeks I think, so we're still good for the three dates we're assuming (March 24 and 31, April 7

Curtain call finished filming on February 22nd, a little more than a month before release, and NEXT LEVEL finished a few days before Curtain call, all in Los Angeles. She usually works up until the very last moment. Though last year, we already had a new album announced at the time even though the PVs weren't finished. Sheesh, Ayu. Why is she keeping it under wraps for so long? By now, most avex artists would already have previews out, hahahaha.

So we have three new PVs and four single PVs... in addition to making of clips, that's about 14. She tends to have a 1:1 ratio of video clips to song tracks, so perhaps my hopes of a 15 track album are out the window.

And then, there's still more PV filming left for the new song~~~

A 1:1 ratio, when has she had that? NEXT LEVEL had 14 songs and 12 DVD titles, GUILTY had 14 and 13 DVD titles, she hasn't had a "1:1" ratio since Secret, and only Secret, (miss)understood and Memorial address had that... MY STORY had 17 and 11. So really based on her current patter of Album Songs > DVD Tracks, the album would have more tracks then 14.

Also, has she talked about two PVs yet? I know we think she did two in London, but all we really know is she had two different outfits right? Couldn't that be two outfits for the same PV...?

MY STORY doesn't count since she had only done makings for single tracks at the time.

Memorial address - 5 single PVs, 2 album PVs - 7 clips - 7 tracks on the album (8 with Memorial address bonus)
MY STORY - 4 single PVs, 3 album PVs, 4 making-ofs - 11 clips - 17 tracks on the album
(miss)understood - 7 single PVs, 2 album PVs, 6 making-ofs, 1 side story - 16 clips - 16 tracks on the album
Secret - 4 single PVs, 3 album PVs, 7 making-ofs - 14 clips - 14 tracks on the album
GUILTY - 4 single PVs (if Distance Love is split between the songs, which they were on TV), 3 album PVs, 7 making-ofs - 14 clips - 14 tracks on the album
NEXT LEVEL - 3 single PVs, 3 album PVs, 6 making-ofs - 12 clips - 14 tracks on the album

That's not how the DVD is set up though, it's 14/13 for GUILTY and 14/12 for NEXT LEVEL. I'm just saying, don't get your hope down so quickly just because she used to have a 1:1 ratio as you'd call it.

Yes, but NEXT LEVEL was weird since Sparkle went PV-less at the time that Rule came out. Had Sparkle been filmed when the single came out, I think they would have tried to film one more video. (possibly for rollin' or something?)

GUILTY's case for me is that Distance Love is "two clips smashed into one" since they do split the making-of between both songs. (I imagine they didn't split the actual PVs on the DVD because it's simpler to just leave it as it is since it was intended to be one short movie) It'd be like counting vogue~Far away~SEASONS as one clip when they can all stand alone as three individual video clips.

Right now, this [new album title] is looking to be: 4 single PVs - 3 album PVs - 7 making-ofs - 14 clips - 14 songs judging by how things have gone (for the most part) since 2003. Distance Love = exception/technicality, and I wonder what was added to NEXT LEVEL since it was initially a 13 track album when announced. Pieces of SEVEN? Load of the SHUGYO?

glitter/fated DOESN'T stand on it's own though. That's why it's not called "glitter~fated ~DISTANCE LOVE~". It's just called "Distance Love" so it still fits. I'm not trying to argue with you th, I'm just trying to say, don't lower your hopes for a stupid reason

Well since ayu has tones of time until the release I wouldn't be surprised if she would post in her blog in 2-3 weeks that she's recording another PV. =P

(Yeah I know 0% chance/not expecting at all since she never did more than 3 new PVs for an album).
There's a lot of time until the album's release though. Which we still don't officially know about

We will know everything officially anyway if the announcement will show the accurate numbers of tracks in the new album.
Last year the announcement said 13 and eventually it was 14 for NEXT LEVEL.

I'm just saying that Distance Love can be interpreted as two separate clips OR one mini-movie that is just some sort of weird anomaly in the Ayu-universe. If you look at it as two clips, it fits in with how she's done things in the past. Usually when I make my predictions regarding Ayu, I look at everything she's done in the past, release dates, numbers of tracks, extras on DVDs, days/times that things were released to find some sort of pattern, and for the most part, she does follow a pattern. (She completely screwed with the patterns after 2006-2007) Distance Love for me is just "two PVs for two separate songs that can be interpreted as one mini-movie". They do kind of subtitle it after KyoAi as "glitter / fated" and the making-ofs individually as "glitter and fated." If you think otherwise, fine, but I'm not taking it into account.

Yeah, it's highly unlikely, but that would be nice, haha. 4 new album PVs! A first for Ayu... I think.

But judging from how close Curtain call was [a month from release], I think they allow at least a month for final editing and such before CDs/DVDs are printed. Actually though, she COULD actually film another PV in Japan if this one is to be done in the next few days since it only takes a day or two to finish one up... but then again, would she really do that?

Since if it won't be on the album and there will be no more new PV/s so there will be 13 tracks on the DVD.
