I like this song! It sounds better then greatful days. I hope that the full ver will be good! But I sort of like STEP you better then song. Me like the begaining of the song. I like that techno part.

Like the INSPIRE c/w GAME single, I didn't like INSPIRE that much but I liked GAME a lot...
And this might be the same, fairyland c/w alterna...I think I'll like alternative a lot

Song was ok, but it got kinda boring, and was kinda anti-climax especially given all the hype that surrounded it before we actually heard the song, I don't think it is as tuneful or as catchy as her other upbeat songs like step you (which I loved) or angel's song (which I loved too) or greatful days (which I loved too, albeit to a lesser degree).

Her backup vocalists need to go, and her band needs to be Heard, not Seen. The part in the performance where they all start dancing together in a row just looked Wrong, like hagged midlife crisis types having an orgy, or something.

This song needs to grow on me, I think. It sounds like a slower version of Angel's song mixed with Greatful days. I like it, but it's not what I expected for a song called "Fairyland".

Yeah, it's easy to say that it sounds like something she's done before. But tell me, how easy is it to make something completely new that noone has done before?

I loved this song... Although it sounded a bit like ANGEL'S SONG, I think it was very unique, both among her works and in jpop in general. I think that's what makes her such a great performer... Her songs are very distinguished and you know that it's Ayumi when you hear one of her songs. Just the special effects of the vocals, the instrumentals, are so beautifully composed and work so well together. Most other artists just sing some song with the guitar playing in the background and it gets kind of old.

I think this song will definitely make Ayu the queen of jpop again (if she ever wasn't o_O). It's one of her most unique pieces, one that I've been waiting for a LONG time. I mean, I'm obsessed with it now! I just love how it's not rock, yet its not too slow. I was always a fan of Ayu's non-rock, faster songs. And it's pretty unique, considering MY STORY and STEP YOU.

I also loved the way she performed in the live... She makes up for not dancing by performing very "classily" and she definitely looks like a veteran out there... OH YEAH, and her voice.. I'm not 100% if she sang it for real or not, but it sure sounded great for a live..

As you can see, I'm very impressed by this song.. lol.. Hopefully I'm not the only one @_@

first time i hear it, i feel weird too..but after 10 times i hear it..its stuck on my head right now..I JUST LOVE IT!!! not because ayu singing this song, but i totally love the song..and ayu make a profit to this song.so..its perfect!!
i know its feeling really new for ayu to sing this type of song.but i love it
i don't think its has a similarity with Angel's song..i wonder where is the similarity..
if you say that the opening has a similarity with STEP you..yes i'm agree with that..but the rest is totally original stuff
i don't really like the chorus part but the other part is really NICE..like the intro..its really GREAT

True. I've had the song on repeat for the last hour.
I do hear similarity with Angel's song. Every time the chorus is about to start, I get this feeling that she's going to sing "Nee kimi wa tashika ni".
On the other hand, I don't hear any similarity with STEP you
Oh well, the song is rapidly growing on me, and the song gives me a summer-feeling.

You're right, but the first tones of refrain and mood of fairyland are absolutely identical with ANGELS SONG. I simply can't fall in love with something, what is very similar to another song. I don't say its bad song, I just don't like it much.
