Exactly. I hope that she learns from this.

I'm just waiting till Gackt's drag queen Grandmother, I mean, Tsunku croaks so then H!P can finally get its act together.

He's ruined her entire career. I doubt she'll be able to get back into the buisness by herself. Personaly, I think the whole "idol" thing is corupt and perverse.

Kago did choose to become an idol though, so she was probably been told about behaviors and stuff (if the company had just randomly suspended her she could sue the company back).
Yay, at least we agree about something. And I agree, she did choose to become an idol, but it could be argued that since so many members of MM join at a very young age, especially Kago and Tsuji being only 12, that they couldn't fully grasp or appreciate what they would be getting themselves into. Also at that time the Morning Musume audience was very different from what it is today.

Apparently Maki Goto's brother Yuki was fired from Up Front because of underage drinking. Let's hope they don't go that far with Kago. I guess we can just hope for the best.

I don't think it's fair to put all the blame on Tsunku. From what I understand, these kind of decisions are all made by the parent company UFA, not him. I can't imagine him treating the girls this way since he himself knows what the media can be like from being in the band Sharan Q. Tsunku himself is essentially an employee of UFA I think.

like SunshineSlayer said, you can't blame tsunku for this. all he did was create the group, he wasn't the one to give them the rules.
it was kago's mistake for being caught not acting like an idol. letting her guard down wasn't tsunku's fault.

and tsunku always held kago very high. she was one of his favorites...so i don't see how he would "ruin" the career of one of his favorite girls?

there would be no h!p without tsunku. or at least, not one as awesome as the one he has managed.

Actually, I don't think the album was finished since just in Jan. they polled the fans to find out what cover songs should be done for the album.

i agree... at first when i heard she was getting in trouble, i thought it was silly. but then i realised that in japan, it's not until you turn 20 (and considered an adult...they even have a special day celebrating all 20 year olds once a year!) that you can do things like smoke, drink, drive, vote, etc. i don't see why people are getting angry with tsunku and the upfront agency... it's not as though they are doing anything outlandish, more like following the laws and making a point to show people everywhere that idols are NOT above the law. also, if it is a direct violation of the agency's contract with said idol (which i heard, in this case, it is), then that's also something that they are allowed to take action against. and no one is forced kago to sign that contract, she did it out of her free will (as we know it anyways), so if she agrees to the terms, she has to follow them. I'm not anti-kago by any means, i love her and will be sad to not see her around for a while... but i mean, rules and rules, and they are created for a reason - to be followed, not to be broken.

It's hard to picture her smoking really after seeing MM girls so adorably and innocently portrayed in pvs and tv shows, I wonder how are they like in real life?

the real pressing question is: Does kago wear prescription glasses or were those for fashion/to guard her appearance? D: If it was to guard her appearance, obviously it didn't work very well.
