[Thoughts] Beautiful Fighters PV - Page 4

Ok, the forum was down while I've seen the pv for the first time, so my thoughts are not quite 'fresh'

First of all, it was like "yay, melody reminds me Ayu style from the past!". I must admit, I had expected to hear sth like Startin' (which I don't like)... so I was nicely astonished. Though, pv is okay, nothing more. I ofcourse, prefer BF than Blue Bird... (that beach scenery doesn't contain a lot of messages to me). Ayumi looks so cute here

that's a big big plus!

But I can't stay Ayu trying to act American

I dunno why she cannot understand that being and looking Japanese is her biggest advantage...

anyhow, after hearing and seeing the BLUE BIRD pv i was prepared to hate this one...but it turns out that i actually like it. sure its way cutesy and way pop, but its also fun and the song is catchy. and i appreciate that its like a little tribute to all of us with crappy jobs.

I like the Ayu as a cashier! So cute. But the rest... I don't like.

At least I love the song!

Oh, yeah. I also loves the parts with the clumsy girls! HAHA! It made me laugh so much! XD

The song and the PV are alright. The synthesized part is really catchy and cool but it's repeated too often and just kills the song. The composition isn't great and the arrangement isn't great, and if it is Kazuhito Kikuchi, I don't think it's the best he can do. She tried bringing back her old composers for this single and in my opinion it didn't work very well. She's trying to go back in time, give me a summer with INSPIRE and GAME, some attitude. It's too sugary. Grow up, Ayu.

That's unfair to say about this one song. Out of all the songs released this year I think this would be the most unique and most thought out. Every single song she released this year are anime-worthy anyway, not just this one, BLUE BIRD, being #1. Startin' is my favorite so far this year. I certainly hope that changes before the end of the year.

i have to say I TOTALLY LOVE BEAUTIFUL FIGHTERS!
the way the CM made it sound , kinda made me think rock, but i like the full version alot too.
i have to admit, when i first heard the beginning i was like oh no... but it turned out realli good
and i enjoy watching the PV, it makes me smile and i think it really suits the song..
i dont know why you guys are always so negative on ayumi! shes human too.. and she works hard, you dont see many people that make so many videos..
and i like this ALOT more than blue bird, i cant stand listening to that song best PV of 2006 so far!

I loved this PV as well! The song is extremely nice too ^_^'
I just want Ayu to make a more serious PV, after the (m)u album there wasn't one. =/

Yeah it's the highlight of the song for me. When it first started playing, I thought the song was going to be awesome. The verses were nice too. I just have an issue with the chorus and how it overlaps - I think they should have just shortened it. The melody isn't great there either. I started to get annoyed when the synthesized voice kept playing: in the beginning, after the first verse, after the first chorus, in the bridge, AND at the end of the song. The guitar 'solo' part could have been better and not so simplistic too.

so if it doesnt have "attitude" its not good? does everything have to be so serious cant she just have a single or song were its just happy. I think its important to have a variety so its something for everyone.

but whatever floats your boat go with it

Yeah. Her last really strong single I would say was STEP you / is this LOVE?, both songs complimented each other nicely and were equal in quality. I still listen to them. They don't really get old.

I agree with you Phantoma. I also like the synthesized voice, but it's quite repetitive. They should have left that for the beginning and the end. But they had to add that in the middle and after each chorus too... The chorus is very repetitive too. But overall, I think this is the best song from 2006, so far.

I hope she'll drop the cutesy-ness soon though...

I wanna see more CREA and more "alterna"-like song!

Well, The first time I watched the PV and listened to the song, I agree, I felt this song and the PV are kinda weird somehow... But after I watched it again thoroughly I realised it is TOTALLY AMAZING!!!!!

Can't wait to see the lyrics and the translation! And I think the PV consists a really deep meaning...!
