Namie isn't into crazy gimmicks the only time she celebrated an anniversary was her 15th one like aloopy mentioned, and all she did the Live Style 2006 tour which was such a nice gift for her fans. (if you aren't familiar with the tour she performed many songs for the first time like b-sides plus some of her older hits that don't get performed often). She probably will do something for her 20th though cause that's a pretty big deal but I doubt she will go the "ayu/kuu route" !

You couldn't get more high profile than Namie was during 1995-1998...and currently she's bigger than both Ayu & Kuu. Also I'm not sure what being high profile has anything to do with gimmicks. Regular musicians do them all the time

I think UHPlus meant that she IS famous (of course we all know that) but she isn't into any crazy release...for example Kuu and Ayu are into a lot of releases and bests in their 10th anniversary (Koda is into best album anytime, but that's another story) while Namie did nothing for the 10th anniversary (except for the single collection with rearranged and new vocal versions songs)...I think the only reason why Namie had the 181920's best album before the 10th anniversary was because of her maternity hiatus so Avex and Komuro made the best to continue to keep Namie's fan concentrated on her (and of course, to get money).

It sounds...particularly strange...I will wait for the full version to judge

Anyway, since the single doesn't come out with a DVD version...do you think we will get at least a TV version? Because we found out about this collaboration from someone who said Namie and AI were filming a video, right?
