So are all five guys going to do solo work? I wonder how their relations will be like once they're each others competition. That'd be so weird; all five doing solo work will mean that not all will have the same results as Tohoshinki :/

If there's anyone familiar with late 90s and early 00s American pop, after the super popular boy band Nsync split up many of the members tried going solo but only Justin Timberlake had success. On top of that, as we all know, a popular male solo singer in Japan is very, very rare.

I think JJ has the most chance at being successful, but it'd be awesome if they all found it different ways.

^adding to that. i think now that they'll be each other's competition, we'll be able to see who's most popular among the 5. xD

i was never really a fan, but i love their "Five In The Black" album and "T.R.I.C.K." singles. i can't imagine what it's like to have your favorite artist "suspend activities." -_-

I'm not really surprised by this, only at how greedy and bad of a company SM is.

I have never been a real Tohoshinki fan, just more of a casual listener, but I really felt the talent and greatness there was to them and I'm really saddened for this. This is a great loss for the J-Pop and K-Pop scene, and I'm just plain angry at SM and their artist whoring (which like, someone else mentioned, they've done before with BoA... and look where she is now). At least their best album will sell even more with this news, and that's good for Avex.

Still, I hope they'll be able to perform as a unit again, (at least for a farewell tour), and I really hope all the best for them in the business, as individual artistes -and that's for sure, they are going to have great careers ahead of them.

They've made a name for themselves, working from the scratch, and I believe that they are the biggest korean boyband ever, being huge all over Asia, and it's sad to see them leave at their peak. All the best for them, and I'm really sorry for all the sad fans out there.

Always keep the faith!!!
