It's ayu's first mini-album, it seems. This format is pretty popular. Day After Tomorrow released two mini-albums before releasing a full-length album. I don't think of this as a rip-off so much as something new. I think fans just have to decide if this is worth it for them (i.e. did you buy all of her singles up to the album) before purchasing. I will be buying the CD+DVD package. But 2200 for the album alone is really, really cheap. I'm excited.

me hopes so, I will buy it for the 3 new tracks.... because I really like Angel's Song... plus the DVD... I will be buying it for those 2 reasons...

Perhaps if Avex is responcible for this too early release... the DVD is Ayu's way of saying 'Gomen'....

I don't think this is a ripoff if it includes the PVs, but it certainly is an odd thing.

Day After Tomorrow's mini albums actually contained new songs on them.
They weren't mini albums made almost completely of previously-released singles.

Yea, its really weird to release a mini album with a bunch of single tracks and under the name of "6th Album". If Ayumi were really releasing a "Mini Album" she would call it that and it'd be nearly all new tracks. If she wanted a single collection, she could've done that as well - but this doesn't make any sense.

I've been thinking about this and I can only come up with two plausible situations. Either something weird is up with Ayumi or else maybe... just maybe that "bonus track" is going to be one of those 20 minute long ultra-song things. Its a long shot but, I just can't picture avex or Ayumi releasing an 8 track CD (under the name of "6th Album") for no reason - they'd make more money relasing a full album and A Clips 3.

This is so weird!

But YesAsia's not the only site which is showing a "tracklisting" :

I don't think all these sites would all post false info at once, which leads to believe that "this is it". I'm really not sure why there's just 8 tracks ... if anything, they should've at least added a few older songs from previous albums/singles, even if it isn't "tradition". Just the idea of having a mini-album is different enough, so whether it's because Avex assumes the clips will make up for the small amount of songs, or whether they assume people will buy it whether it's 8 tracks or not, I'm not sure anymore...

The more I think about it the more it makes sense, even though its probably wishful thinking... maybe that 8th track is like 30 minutes long. You know, to be artistic. If its not, then I'm back to the "this makes zero sense" idea though, haha.

Of course it could very well be correct information. I'm just implying that it could be wrong, and all these sites prolly got the information from one and the same source. Then again, it's quite assumable this information source was actually Avex. Avex can only gain by posting playlists of upcoming albums... it makes people excited. BUT, if the source is not Avex... this could be all wrong.

Maybe it's a John Cage cover called 30"00.

Or maybe that joke is too complicated.

Hahaha!!! Given these facts nothing else makes any sense. If she wanted to release a mini-album - call it a mini-album and not her 6th original album! If she wanted a PV collection, release A Clips three - but releasing half and album and half a clip collection makes no sense unless there's a catch of some sort...

So I guess it is.

Anyways, new theory then. Maybe she is ending her career, doesn't have any inspiration anymore, so that's why they're putting the last tracks EVER on CD, along with a DVD to make it a special goodbye. Furthermore, A BEST will be rereleased because when Ayu quits, everybody will want to buy it. Again.

w00t!

Actually, that was my second idea but.. I didn't really want to mention it.

It doesn't make much sense for her to be quitting though, because if it were something sudden they'd release an even BIGGER collection CD/DVD to comemmorate it. And if it were something planned in advance there's no reason not to release a full 6th album and THEN release something comemoratiiiiive. No reason to hint at it when they could be all SHOCKING and make even more cash.Yes indeed.

Since avex themselves haven't released any information on this it makes me wonder if there's some vital piece of information we're missing... bah, I hate waiting!

I hope this all turns out well!

Seriously, though, hasn't Avex been disappointing us for years now? I keep thinking of all the crappy things that Avex has been doing to Ayu:

- the loss of 10 track singles
- the release of A Ballads directly after Rainbow (what were they thinking)
- Ayu trance 2 (total rehash)
- having to wait soooo long for singles at times
- having to wait soooo long for Ayumix 5, Ayuro mix 3, and Ayu trance 3, which weren't nearly as good as previous remix albums
- no Ayumix 5 AOV

So, Ayu's stuff has been declining forever. It's rediculous, but somehow I'm not surprised. Just disappointed.

And wouldn't it be funny if the "super secret bonus track" ended up being "Theme of A Nation"?
