everytime they perform Sakura Sake in their concerts , their fans always go wild for it which I'm not surprised as it's so downright catchy & let alone the PV doesn't make any sense to me xD

TBS just released new 30 seconds CM for Kanjani8's Nishikido Ryo upcoming drama "Papa Wa Idol". In the said comedy-drama that will start on April 19th, Nishikido Ryo will play as himself who got married to a single mother with three kids. Playing the role of his wife will be Yuka, while his kids will be played by Umika Kawashima, Yuki Imai, and Kanon Tani.

The 30 seconds CM also featured other members of Kanjani8 who will also play as themselves. Moreover, Arashi's Sho Sakurai and Satoshi Ohno will also guest in this new drama as themselves as well.

Sakurai Sho caught being rude to fans at train station

On March 11th, around the time of last year’s Tohoku Earthquake, Sakurai Sho visited residents of the Aizuwakamatsu area of Fukushima, in order to tape a broadcasting of Nippon’s Television “Fukkou Terebi Minna no Chikara”.

At the taping, Sakurai was mostly without smiles, from beginning to end, only endowed with a serious face. Viewers who watched the program were apparently heart-torn at his demeanor. A few hours later after the taping, Sakurai was allegedly sighted at a Tokyo train station.

“It was around 10 P.M. when the Shinkansen arrived,” claims a train passenger. “Fangirls, who somehow found out the information he was going to be there there, were already waiting”.

That day Sakurai, due to being in a disguise of only wearing a cap, was quickly exposed.

“When he started down the stairs heading quickly to the ticket barrier, a ton of fangirls crowded around him. In the next moment, Sho-kun gave the girls a sharp look as if to say ‘don’t talk to me’”.

Instead of shaking hands or signing autographs, Sakurai only appeared to show a glaring face as if he was giving a threatening look to them. Then, when he saw a fan with a camera phone in her hand, a surprising outburst occurred.

A passenger who happened to be present claims that, “[Sakurai] shouted ‘don’t take pictures!’ at the girl and knocked the cellphone that she was holding out her hand. He did it with a lot of force so when the cellphone hit the ground the place went into an uproar. A colour of distinct terror oozed out of that girl’s face.”

Without even caring about the fallen phone, Sakurai allegedly went to the exit at full speed. Even after having his ticket examined, his anger didn’t subside.

“While saying ‘stop’, he just kept brushing off the fangirl’s hands while walking. In the end he knocked down about 5 cellphones. He didn’t even give some sort of apology.”

^ Well, first who knows how much of it is even true. And secondly, if this really happened right after the earthquake, I can understand him not being in a very sociable mood. Also, at his level of fame - if he was there with no security as it seems, there is no way he could stop to sign just a few autographs - he would be mobbed endlessly.

Well...we already know that Sho is capable of violence, but I also thought that he has his anger better under control nowadays!

BUT...first of all we don't know if this is even true and secondly - like SunshineSlayer said - if it was right after the anniversary of last year's earthquake, I'm sure that he was pretty shaken up (no pun intended!). I'm sure that there were other things on his mind then giving autographs or posing for pictures.

Arashi and NMB48 Face-Off on May 9th

NMB48, the youngest sub-unit of AKB48, have managed to rank first in Oricon music first week sales for three consecutive times since their record debut. However, NMB48's quest for four consecutive number 1 single might be put on hold with Johnny's Entertainment Arashi announcing the release of their "Face Down" single on May 9th.

The girls of NMB48 have topped Oricon weekly ranking for their past three singles- "Zetsumetsu Kurokami Shōjo", "Oh My God!", and Junjou U-19". Those singles sold more than 200,000 for the first week. But the girls will soon faced their biggest hurdle with popular boy group- Arashi. Arashi's "Wild at Heart" managed to snag the top spot with more than 550,000 sales for their first week.

However, rumors have surfaced that NMB48's 4th single "Nagiichi" will contain ballots for the upcoming Senbatsu election on June 6th. If it were true, then this battle for the top spot might be not one sided at all.

NMB48's "Nagiichi" and Arashi's "Face Down" will both be released on May 9th.

Arashi’s upcoming single chosen as theme song for drama ‘Kagi no Kakatta Heya’

On April 5th,the new Fuji TV drama ‘Kagi no Kakatta Heya‘ held a press conference in Tokyo, where they announced Arashi’s upcoming single “Face Down” has been chosen as the drama’s theme song. The protagonist of the drama, Ono Satoshi, attended this conference with co-stars Toda Erika and Sato Koichi.

With “Face Down”, Arashi set a new record by providing the theme songs for a ‘Getsu9′ drama for two seasons in a row. Last drama season, the group’s 37th single “Wild At Heart” was the theme to Matsumoto Jun’s drama ‘Lucky Seven‘.

At the conference, Ono commented on his single “Face Down”, “Fitting in well with this drama, the lyrics are mysterious. That is brand-new for us. Arashi has been singing many kinds of songs, and this new single makes me feel like we’re seeing a new side of Arashi.‘ Sato Koichi agreed, “The song goes well with the drama“, while Toda Erika stated, “This is a really cool song. I makes the drama world seem like it’s expanding, and it raises my spirits.”

This mystery drama is about Emoto Kei, played by Ono, who is an employee of a major security company. He’s requested to solve mysteries related to cases that are only known of behind closed doors. Toda’s role is Aoto Junko, a beautiful lawyer who helps out with the mystery solving. Soto will play the role of elite lawyer Serizawa Go, who belongs to the same company as Aoto.

‘Kagi no Kakatta Heya’ is scheduled to air April 16th, Monday 9PM JST.
