I actually really like ESCALATE and POP DIVA.

But her ballads, I view them on the same level as A Song for XX (album). Just... well, I pretend that 98% of them don't exist. I think they're so bland and generic.
I can't get enough of Moon Crying, it's why I bought Trick. I need to get my hands on Black Cherry for Juicy and Yume no Uta.

I guess the fan base is divided with her ballads. I'm not surprised

Candle Light is a slow-ballad and it is FLAWLESS.

talking about it, I have just watched FANTASIA concert again and the ballad section is seriously magical. her vocals are imo the best in jpop when it comes to ballads. I have yet to watch the whole Dejavu Tour concert, but I've read good reviews about its ballad section too.

Man, how can you possibly say that? She's one of the best ballads singer from Japan. At least her fans in Japan appreciate her ballads better than her Western fans. Even tho her up-beat songs are almost never as half as successful there she still releasing so many of them. JAPONESQUE had only 3 ballads and ppl still complain.

Omg, POP DIVA is one of her worst that will never grow on me. The only version I like is the remix on DH4 (not the one by Young Punx! that one sucks). I hate POP DIVA because it's the same thing over and over, no real melody. I'm all about the melody. Nothing badass about it like the bridge in Driving. Nothing innovative. Whatchu Waitin' On? is insanely catchy and the PV is really fun! Usually I find CG in music videos to be really cheesy but I think it was very well done in Kuu's video.

Agreed. It's definitely one of her worst songs. I can only tolerate it in the live performances because she doesn't sing the full annoying chorus. Never again Kumi

^ I think it's one of her best ballads ever. it's not that piano acoustic or R&B as usual, that maybe what makes it standout from the rest of Kuu ballads. the PV is also super gorgeous & beautiful & ero the whole BUT single is just flawless
