A lot like No Way To Say, but better. The emotions in both the song and PV seem to have more of an affect.

I believe this to be one of her best PVs, actually, it might make it to the best for me. The song isn't the best one, but the PV is so stunningly beautiful to me. The medieval feel, the snow, the symbolism, the silent but emotional characters, the effects, everything. Greatness to me.

Here is my interpretation of the PV:

All the people are giving Ayu scorning looks but they don't see her. Instead they are looking at someone else (maybe a homeless person?). They go into their houses because they don't want to bothered by him/her. But this (homeless) person freezes to death and then the old guy comes and puts the flowers to the corpse and Ayu (she is like a guardian ghost) disappears and he feels a presence of another person but there is only a wind. In my opinion, it's a story about people who we usually tend to overlook or have forgotten. I don’t think that a body is lying there but I think the way the old guy is kneeling down there, it reminds of someone bringing flowers to a grave.

In my opinion a very beautiful PV and a great successor of No Way To Say ^_^

Interesting interpretation......but we see the cameras from many different angles...and there is nobody else there....except Ayu, of course.

LOL I know, but I'm just thinking that the candle-keeper Ayu would let her spirit see her love before he could get that much older, right?

Like I said: only we can ee her because she acts as some sort of guardian ghost but the people there are seeing something or someone else there when they are looking at the spot where she is standing.

So beautiful. Just amazing. The ending was quite typically Ayu's style, which made me happy.

I don't care if it reminded me of any videos in the past, Ayu's cuteness and the awesomeness of the song makes any comparitive thoughts go away

I see the role of the old man as the only person who actually care enough to go out to Ayu, who is all alone and homeless. The rest of the people pitying her, but fleeing into the warmth and happiness of their own homes.

When he comes to her she's already dead, symbolized by how she crumbles to snow when he approaches.

There's probably more symbolism to it, mayhap the old man is also somehow representing her father, or some other memory she has.

I always thought the old man was the person she loved when she died, and that a lot of time has passed since her death (hence him growing old). That would serve to separate them even more to her, because he has, in a physical sense, moved on and gotten older, and she probably wanted to grow old with him. I think the necklace he touched was something of hers before she died that he keeps as a momento.

I re-watched the PV, and I get a little of that feeling too, a long lost love or something. But if that's the case I wonder why she's singing about being alone in the show, she's dead and I get the feeling that before she was dead, she was lonely.

But yeah, when the man looks at the locker it's as if he's looking at his lost love, and then he puts down the flower. But there's more than one flower there, more people than only the old man puts flowers there. Why?

Typical analysis I'm going to throw out here.

When people put down considerable amounts of flowers, it usually symbolizes a shrine to where a person passed. For example, if somebody gets into a car accident, there is usually a tree or landmark decked out in flowers.

So, when I seen that part, I automatically thought of death.

It seems like the other flowers are much older than the ones he put down...not quite dead, but certainly not as fresh. Maybe they're from years past, and people just thought dead flowers would be over-the-top gloomy? Though that doesn't really explain the family with flowers...maybe they just felt bad.

That might be the case, if they look old that might symbolize something like her having been dead for a very long time.

Yeah, it does indeed not explain the family with flowers, and that was flowerpots with red flowers, not some kind of bouquet.

Not being able to figure this completely out is bugging me.

Okay, the guy was definitely very close to her, because you can tell he's crying when he first comes out of the house...guys crying = not very often. I'd like to jump on the bandwagon that supports the Ayu's-old-lover theory. It makes sense to me with the lyrics, too.

Flowers flowers flowers...I don't know. They, along with the guy's age, give me the feeling that she died a long time ago. I get the sense that the family, who look to be much younger than mystery-man, aren't really sure about what to do, if they should go over with the flowers or not...if she died a long a long time ago, that might explain why they're so hesitant. But there's another elderly guy praying in front of a candle...I dunno what he's all about.

Well, I suppose figuring it all out would take away its Secret. But still...I think this might be my favorite Ayu PV ever. It blows my mind that much. I cried when I saw it, and still have a hard time holding in the tears. :\

I really was not expecting so many people to love this PV. I was ready to say "It sucks" until I saw what happened at the end. The concept is emotional and all that, but I think Ayu looks so fake when she is "crying". When I see her actually cry at concerts, I get teary-eyed myself, but I don't believe her act at all in this PV. It looks so lame. She did a much better job in HANABI episode 2.

Geez, it was a bad idea watching that video before I went to bed last night. I was sooo not expecting the final scene! It leaves me feeling very sad whenever they extend the part with the man looking around and fading out (like in 'moments' with ayu just staring).

I really have to bite my lip, or clench my teeth whenever I watch it all the way. Seeing all those headshots of ayu looking that miserable and heartbroken and teary and red nosed and poofy eyed----!!!! And and and when she stares looking with THAT FACE as the man walks up towards her grave with the flowers (everyone should know what scene I'm talking about)...It just kills me!

I kinda feel pissy towards the families with the flowers. They look like they're guilty of disregarding the old man and the grave, and since this is the time for goodwill, they feel obligated to give their respects too. With the old man, you can just tell his feelings are true, but the boy with the WTF face ARRGGHH I just wanna smack his stupid little cheeks.

I love the video, though. With her okay releases this year, Secret has officially nipped me on the butt and blew me outta the water!!!
