I can't say anything about my love for Jpop period to my family. They already tease me about my love for anime and Japanese culture in general.

Luckily I managed to get my mom into Britney so there isn't much teasing about that but I wouldn't be able to take it if they found out about Ayu.

I bet cha though a few looked her up afterwards and there's probably an undercover Ayu fan or two in that class now.

If not, at least the word of Ayu was spread. Why were you guys watching that clip anyways?

We were watching the entire show because my Japanese teacher wanted to show us a Japanese new year show before we left for Christmas break

I was excited, but the idiots (almost) ruined it for me D:

I did have a presentation concerning international media two years back, and I chose Ayumi Hamasaki for her versatility, charisma and good music (of course)!

People were kind of impressed, at least some were. I played some of her classics, and then I showed them the Until that day... performance from my A BEST II White bonus disc, and I saw some heads rocking and feet tapping

That felt good.

that really stinks! i would be so angry if that happened to me lol id want to back hand everyone in my class haha although maybe that performance wasnt the best choice for them to see ayu for the first time

Well, in recent news...I wrote my Senior Thesis on Ayu and had to present it to the board? Haha, does that count?

LOL she did make it into my Classroom...
I had to talk about the best performance from my favorite artist and... well I made a thread here and you helped me a lot!! =)

I talked about AT09, that she performed all over Japan, and showed to my classmates small parts from UNITE! and MY ALL...

And they were like "Woow now you like one from your country??" (they know that I have family in Japan -_-) and they also know that I have (According to them) weird music preferences...

But many of them were interested and in the end amazed with her voice and performance including my teacher

So i got excited and a good grade ^_^

I also would really like to know an Ayu fan in real life... someday I know it =)

Yes for me..

I made Ayu's cover for RnRC myself and submit to the lecturer, and she's so impressed what I've done

I made an essay about Ayu. The title for the essay is, "My Idol". I cant think of anyone else but Ayu. So, I wrote about her for 3 pages long

My teacher wants me to write more about her. She likes it a lot

I'm very proud of the essay

this one is not what my teachers wants me to do. But yeah, Ayu was in my classroom! I drew her on my chair and desk

and also in my locker too XD

@captain K: If teddy bear~memorial address doesn't win someone over NOTHING can. XD Hopefully you find some fellow Ayu enthusiatists (or potential ones that need persuasion hehe) at your new school.

@Calico: Cool! I wasn't as much into Ayu then so I did my Senior project on The History of Manga but if I could now, Ayu would definitely be my first choice. Hope you aced it.

@Diane: Good luck! Maybe you should have them listen to the A Favorites album in the download section. It has pretty much all of the greats and classics so I think it'd be a good way to introduce your friends to Ayu.

@Yukas and asmayumi: Glad your efforts were successful.
