The subtitles are in english and very easy to understand by length if you mean how long the DVD is...I don't know.,,it'd probably take you about 24 hours to get through it all I'd say perhaps even less.

I bought my AATVXQvol.1 DVD from cdjapan it's cheap and extremely fast (I paid a little more for EMS and it arrived at my home the day after it shipped!)
