Yeah, I think people are underestimating them. Ayu is the most likely to get #1 even with the lack of promotion, but I'm not going to quickly count out flumpool either - they are definitely a group on the verge of breaking out, sort of like Shuchushin that came out of nowhere. (although at least this time, the group is much better.) They are totally a wildcard because this is actually their first physical single release, but they had two extremely strong digital singles before this and a mini album that did better than people were expecting.

I was recently in Tokyo for 2 weeks and did not see the Honda CM once! Also, from what I read on a Japanese Ayu forum, people didn't start seeing the DBE cm until today.

I think it has to do with the strength of the car industry here in Hokkaido really ~ We don't have a lot of good public transit up here so the car companies push sales in our prefecture a lot more. I think I've seen the Honda CM at least 25 times now!

As for the DBE CM, I've mostly seen it played during breaks in morning talk show programming - not much during prime time.

Ahh I see. Yeah, I was wondering if it was a regional thing. Hokkaido certainly does have more use for cars than other parts of Japan. I bet you must be freezing right about now!

btw, just found this link from 2ch. Its a Yahoo music poll about what single you are most looking forward to: 1. Flumpool 2. Ayu Hopefully that sample audience was small enough to not really predict the results.

I hope so as well. There're less than 5000 people voting in this poll, so I won't consider it as an accurate indicator. But nobody knows... I do hope ayu to maintain no. 1 streak. But if someone breaks it, I dun think ayu and avex team should cry out loud, since they don't promote this single at all...

Ok, 2ch came out with the numbers, but they haven't been officially posted yet so they might not be real. They are being questioned because if they are real, everyone sold extremely low. Ayu is number 1, but only in the 20k range. So I hesitate to post this.

ehhh just disregard this cause now someone is posting totally different numbers. Just wait for oricon, haha.

^ You gotta be NOT joking.. 24493 index on the first day? I was expecting something way lower than that (like 10K or so).. Don't make me get too high

flumpool's index is 6126, so I assume ayu will have a safe weekly no. 1 again, even tho I predict the second day index will drop like hell

^I'm almost 80% sure it will. Just look at the current avex sales trend, you'll see cd sales (including ayu) drops more than 60 - 70% on the 2nd day. No one can help it... preorder special + fan club special really push the first day sale really high compared to the rest of the week.

Yeah, those are the numbers I got from 2ch as well. All things considered, that is not too bad at all.

However, we still have to wait and see if it drops like crazy over the next couple of days. Hopefully it doesn't drop from 40k to like 2k lol. But as of right now, yeah, #1 is looking pretty safe.

Tomorrow will be equally interessting as todays sales. After 2nd days drop its easier to figure out the week position.
