I was actually wondering if they were real prosthetics or just make-up prosthetics.

I would not put it past her AT ALL to go and get real prosthetics lol You know, the ones they actually put under your skin.

But it seems like...kind of a lot just for this era.

people have actually put things underneath their skin to make horns and whatnot
but GaGa isn't that crazy to do that.

no... the dinosaur shoulder pads are put on her shoulder then they cover it with latex, and they then painted 'em with skin-color... obviously..duh...

You could tell really obviously at the Grammy's that the face ones at least weren't. If her new built in dinosaur shoulder pads are real, it's cool that her skin could stretch that far. /
