I agree. Those typical 'power' ballads like on the single, MOON, etc sound too much alike imo, the same with Koda Kumi's ballads.
The only ballads from ayu that I really grew to love in the past years aside from her earlier ones were those softer songs like Secret and JEWEL
I love the acoustic version of 'meaning of Love' so much more that the original.
She should keep her ballads more simple and let her voice and her lyrics speak for itself.

^ I liked how "un-emotioned" was HANABI and HAPPY ENDING, so they started to sound for me... that they are not even a ballads. I liked You were, MOON, because they were kind of hers, Why... with JUNO sounds more generic, it would be more hers without him. But it's still a piece of good work I think Just not my taste.

JUNO's voice is actually surprisingly fitting for Ayu, they sound so amazing together.

Why... is very generic. Like...easily one of Ayu's most generic songs. It's good! Really pretty with a beatiful arrangement, but I wish it was a bit more unique. Just adding one element somewhere could have done that, a surprising instrumental part, a different chorus, another prominent instrument...

The melody, the music, everything sounds so lovely and then Ayu starts singing and it's like... wtf are you trying to sound like?? Such a shame, the guy's voice is nice though, atleast it blends well together with Ayu's

Why... is a pretty straightforward, generic song like many are saying. I do like how some of the notes end in the chorus, though. Ayu and Juno's voices thankfully blend well. Mm... I probably won't be listening to this song many times, though, because it doesn't particularly stand out to me.

I dont know how I feel with Why, it has some nice moments but its not really there. Its like it has something to offer but that doesnt come so you are basically just waiting for it through the whole song. I hope Ill like it more when I hear it in HQ... I like their voices, but the melody... is just too simple.

It's a better collaboration than Dream ON but like many have said it's also very generic. And not Ayu generic, which I like, but Jpop generic. The song definitely sounds nice but I think along with beloved it's going to be a grower for me. 3 down, 2 more to go.

I don't love it, but I like it!

When Ayu first started singing, I thought "huh?? is that Ayu??" Maybe it was the beginning notes or something, but she sounds different in this song! Not a fan of the vibrato, but I like the melody, harmony, and lyrics.
