Ayu's 6th album will be released 17 December 2003

Although I am a little disappointed too, I still have my faith in Ayu. As everyone has said, it has been a mediocre year for her, but we don't know her entire story or reasons why. I've always though it kind of bizarre to say the least to have more singles than new material on an album, but there's nothing we can do about it.

Am I going to get the album? Yes, but not now. I'm still needing to get LOVEppears and I Am... first, then maybe whatever this album will be called. (any news on that?) *sigh* Still gotta love her though...the cover better be great for all of this fuss XD

It sounds like a lot of people are being dissappointed by this album. Well first off, I'd like to say that AVEX rocks. Next, I think AVEX is experimenting with this album. It's going to be the first Ayumi album that includes a DVD. Maybe that costs a lot more to produce? I think this album will sell very well, I don't see any reason why it shouldn't. All the songs on this album are good, and I have no doubt it will please any new listeners of Ayu. I can safely say that I am looking forward to this album. If you don't like the album or think AVEX is being cheap, then don't buy it. But that is no reason to keep talking like they are garbage.

They could very well be experimenting with the album, and I think it's good to be including some videos to the disc, but I don't think that making it into a DVD would make it cost a lot more to manufacture. I'm sure you've gone to a store and have seen new DVDs selling for about $20 or so... just about the same price as some CDs. I know no one's forcing me to buy the CD, as I don't have much intention to, but while this may make new fans enjoy Ayu's stuff, I still think that 8 tracks (of which 2 are new) seems a bit low, regardless of the actual quality of the songs themselves. Sure, the songs are ok, but like I've said about 4-single tracks, it seems like more can be done with it. People will buy this disc whether it has 2 or 20 tracks, and I know that much. But seriously... how hard is it to add, perhaps, songs which have only been on a CD or 2 in the past at most? At least with both old and new songs, new Ayu fans would get a taste of what made Ayu what she is today.

Are you sure that the tracklist is just 8 tracks only? I personally won't think of it as so because Ayu has been releasing like 15 tracks in her album all along. Although it may be some sort of experimenting with her album, I think Avex knows better what the consumers want, which are her songs so I think it's better to wait and see till everything is confirmed.

Avex is driven by its products. If it sells, then they see no need to change it, just as they've been doing this past year with some of Ayu's singles. Just because Ayu released 10-track singles in the past doesn't necessarily mean that'll continue, as evident in 4-track singles like Forgiveness. While I'd love for there to be more than 8 tracks on this mini-album, it's as the old saying goes: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it".

I'll still get it no matter what because we should support Ayumi! Well, about BoA and Namie Amuro doing the same thing, I think well, that should be ok. Anyway, it's just quite saddening that they are going to do so, just hope that there's more they could do about it. But things seem rather confirmed ... just feel a bit disappointed with what Avex is doing. Perhaps it's to cater to the Japanese? I definitely agree on the point that Avex might want to try out something new and doing what they think makes money. Perhaps it's because of Ayu Ready and other things that Ayumi doesn't have time to concentrate more on her music.

But unlike Ayu's release, these will have more tracks... while they've released quite a bit this year, I'm still a bit disappointed by Ayu's current lineup of a tracklist.
