The clip of the girls’ performance have surfaced on Youtube as well as various online community sites, and some Japanese netizens have offered their advice to SNSD saying, “You guys should study up on Japanese more.”

Korean netizens came to the girls’ defense saying, “Let’s just sing in Korean“, and “I don’t know why these amazing girls have to receive that kind of treatment in Japan.”

They're my favorite K-Pop group, but I have to be honest, their Japanese isn't very good...at all. It's very difficult to understand what they're saying most of the time. It's hard to say they should practice/study more though, since they have no free time as it is and are constantly being worked to the bone. Poor girls, but I really do hope to see their Japanese improve.

yea, i also don't think their japanese is good specially in term of speaking, but i'm fine with it though.
since they have busy schedules in both japan n korea, i think it's impossible for them to catch up Japanese lessons as much as they actually should.
i just hope ppl will understand their situation. hate it when ppl compare them with Boa or Tohoshinki. that they need to be like them first, learning Japanese language n culture fluently then go debut. but if they do that, wouldn't it be too late?

Their Japanese isn't good, but I don't think it's bad enough to warrant the guy saying he COULDN'T UNDERSTAND A WORD. lol I mean, I could make out almost everything they said...

If SM was serious about SNSD having a career in Japan, they would have had them learn Japanese, but it's obvious it's all just for a quick buck anyways.

i don't find their japanese to be thaaaat bad but tbh, i couldn't care less

today i finally ended watching the blueray rip of their first japanese concert! omg it was perfect i LOVED the special screens <3
but now i regret seeing the tv version back in the day
i'm still mad at them for not perfoming T.O.P again before run devil run i need another cover of that song!
