it's only ignorant 1/2 baked people or stans that care about such things in whether the fave artiste he/she supports must get #1 on every thing which's so dumb cos personally at the end of the day , I don't think YUI cares about it

She entered the business as she loves to entertain people & make/create music . Do you really enter the music industry just to get #1's ? that's so super shallow way in thinking

Honestly I don't think it's stated in any online sites on what's the difference between GREEN GARDEN POP & ORANGE GARDEN POP :x

The only thing I know is that for both best albums , the tracklists for both consist of a mixture of her singles , B-sides & album tracks , making both best albums to have a total of 36 songs

That's why for fans like myself , I will not buy both since I already have all of YUI's albums & a few of her singles

yes & no since both GREEN GARDEN POP & ORANGE GARDEN POP contains a mixture of her singles , some B-sides & some album tracks

and like what adantatu2 said , fight is the only single not to be included in any of her studio album

YUI’s 2 best-of albums grab 2nd & 3rd on album chart

Singer-songwriter YUI, who will be going on hiatus after this year, simultaneously released her two best-of albums, “GREEN GARDEN POP” and “ORANGE GARDEN POP“ on December 5th.

“GREEN GARDEN POP” sold 117,000 copies and “ORANGE GARDEN POP” sold 116,000 copies in its first week, placing 2nd and 3rd on Oricon’s album ranking for the week of December 17th.

Since her first album, “FROM ME TO YOU” (February 2006), this marks YUI’s 8th consecutive album to make it into the top 10. This also marks her first time appearing in the top 10 with 2 releases since debuting in February of 2005.

The best-of albums feature a total of 18 tracks each, including YUI’s 21 singles such as her debut number “feel my soul” (February 2005) and hit song “CHE.R.RY” (March 2007).

YUI is scheduled to perform on the New Year’s Eve program, ‘NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen‘, and will go on her 2nd hiatus once the new year starts.

NHK announces the song list for ‘Kohaku Uta Gassen’

NHK has announced the official song list for the 50 artists who will be performing on their ‘63rd Kohaku Uta Gassen‘!

The theme for this year’s ‘Kohaku’ is “Uta de Aitai.” (“Meet with song.“). It will be hosted by actress Horikita Maki (red team) and popular group Arashi (white team).

‘Kohaku Uta Gassen’ will air on New Year’s Eve from 7:15 pm JST.
