Whoever is changing her Wikipedia page to Avex numbers needs to stop.
If you are going to give Avex numbers then you need to: 1. Convert all the other numbers to Avex numbers to prevent people who don't follow too closely with sales from thinking that the numbers you're giving are all from Oricon. 2. All the other artists needs to change their numbers to the numbers that the company spits out to standardize the sales, making it fairer to compare sales among different artists. 3. Oricon is the most trusted site among the public for sales numbers and if you want to use Avex numbers, you'll need to explain why Avex numbers are more reliable than Oricon using objective sources. NOT soures from Avex themselves. I understand that Oricon may have its own biases here and there, but that is a problem with ANY form of data collection. In the US, we trust Billboard. In Japan, they trust Oricon. It is not fair to all of a sudden switch to another source for sales info without validating yourself first. Wikipedia is an online encyclopedia, not an Ayumi fan webpage. It is not a place for you to make her look good. It's a place for you to give neutral information about Ayumi for Ayumi fans AND Non-Ayumi fans alike. If you must post Avex numbers for whatever reason, it is better to post it with an emphasis on AVEX numbers by putting "Avex sales" in brackets beside the sales number. |

^Yeah except the fact that theppn is rarely updated and shows like no sources for anything.
c_zou1987 .. if you want it changed so bad on Wikipedia then change it yourself? This is AHS not Wikipedia.. |

"Whoever is changing the numbers needs to stop." The key word here is "changing," which means that obviously I have made the effort to change the numbers but someone keeps changing it back. You can also go on the Wikipedia page and see that I have actually addressed the issue there, but someone still keeps changing it. It's also most likely someone from the AHS forum doing it because there are a few threads about Avex numbers being released. As you can see from the number of posts I have since the day I've joined, I am not a frequent member here and I only came to tell the person who's changing it about why I think Oricon numbers should be posted instead. Hopefully that person has received my message. Quote:
EDIT: Looks like Memorial Address' sales are incorrect... I'll fix that. Last edited by c_zou1987; 11th May 2007 at 02:21 AM. |

It's like when Hikki's Keep Tryin' hit the 2 million or 3 million mark in downloads or whatever.. but there were no sources to back up the claims... Well it didn't look like anyone cared about where the sources came from lol. |

Avril's "Girlfriend" single is actually of quite the same vein as modern J-Pop, so I would assume that it can garner popularity. It sounds like a song that Kuu might do...
What's Golden Week?

The person who "discovered" the avex numbers was evolution7931 but I don't think he's the one doing the changing.
I really don't know who's doing it, but to ask them to stop when you really have no idea at all who/where they are makes it impossible for it to actually end. Golden Week is basically a string of holidays in Japan [where children and adults have the week off].

Avril in general is pretty J-pop. I can pretty much imagine a Japanese version of all her songs.
