Well no, if you think about it, who's going to put the cover onto the CD, insert the CD/DVD, lyrics into the case etc. etc. It's probably not going to be as cheap as anywhere else in the world since most things in Japan just cost a lot. How about the cost of going to Los Angeles to record the song? There's also got to be some split between avex and the stores (i.e. stores receive X yen per copy they sell) When max was talking about the budget of 'fairyland' PV, I think he wrote something like normal PVs cost like ~30 million yen? True, digital downloads haven't been included but ringtones cost around 1/10 of a physical CD and a song costs around 1/3 of a physical CD...

^ Why not? I don't see any harm in winning the same award over and over again...look at Kumiko. Although I think it was biased, she managed to win 6 awards at the MTV awards in two years. That's more than lovely Ayu and disaster Britney Spears. ToT

I don't think it's a matter of desire - she just felt that other singers should also get awarded, not just her.

I was browsing 2ch today and someone posted a fantasy list of the yearly singles chart of 2009 where Ayumi was 10th with S. I thought that was really neat.

Keep in mind that this person has probably predicted that CD sales are even lower in 2009 than in 2007. And the position is amazing. PLUS by that time, both have been in the industry for 12 years and they've used up the last huge promotional stunt.

Aww..I just checked out wiki.theppn and talkin' 2 myself is currently #24 on the charts. It seems that Ayu might only pull off 1K to 3K this week! ( I wish it had charted longer in the top 20)

Lately, I've been really addicted to talkin' 2 myself (I'm listening to it right now! lol) that I come to conclusion that many people prolly didn't like this song was because they didn't give the song time to grow on them like with Bold&Delicious. I mean, after (Miss)understood came out and finished charting is when people started to like B&D. Not only that but as ayumisrael has said that it might have been b/c B&D was released like a month before (M)U. This is only my opinion and my two cents so.....
