If the point is to increase her fanbase or spread her name than yeah Dragonball Evolution is her best bet. Other movies would just tell her to sing in english or they would just get someone else to do it. It's not like since the movie is gonna be bad, the song is gonna suck either. I will probably like the song but I would how many people in the US are gonna watch this movie. Sometimes if a lot of people say a movie is gonna suck before the movie has even been released it usually means lower ticket sales. Which means not that many people are gonna listen to this song. If it was regular times I would think that people would go see it just to check it out, but now people are saving money and are checking what they are spending their money on. Would people spend money on a movie that others say is bad? Not likely.

It also makes me wonder if they are aware of how many people across the world like Ayumi and are trying to cash in on that. Before this I was not gonna watch it, but now it's like because there's an Ayumi song in it, I have to support it and go watch. I'm a fan of Ayumi and I want her to do well across the world so I should go watch it. I'm actually considering spending 7 bucks just to hear a 2 minute clip of her song.

Heh, at least the movie itself will be interesting to watch to see how they messed up the original Dragonball. XD And yes I'll be going just to hear Ayu too, haha.

Anyways.

I don't know, I'm not too keen on ticket sales. Someone once said that bad publicity is better than no publicity, but I dunno. XD

That is unexpected, is this song rule suppose to be for a Japanese version of Dragon Ball or is this going to be the theme song for the Dragon Ball movie with the American cast?

this is so excited !!
as a moviegoer and anime freak, when the first time i watch the trailer i said to myself "nah, it sucks, i'm not gonna watch this movie...the american has ruined every original aspects of DGZ!!"

...BUT.....when i saw this thread, and find out ayu's new song gonna be in it, then i should took back my words and watch the 'hopefully not that bad' movie!!

It's cool that they are using Ayu for this! I'm excited...though the movie doesn't look all that great. But I am excited that people will be introduced to Ayu in America! Maybe one day I will get my wish and she will start doing lives here, too. ^^
