^Avex isn't just dealing with anyone here If it was an up and coming star, avex probably would drop them, but it's Ayumi Hamasaki. It's still an on-going investigation, so they won't just drop her, because she may or may not be involved. She's worth more to avex than some bad publicity right now.

Pretty much what you said, except it is not actually a tabloid story - this isn't just something totally made up, it's an actual case.

The drug-related-death section of the story, yeah. But selling off Ayu? That sounds totally made up to me. I think avex would get rid of some other fresh meat before ever even thinking of getting rid of Ayu. I sort of wonder how many "Ayu is retiring from Japanese music activities because of X reason" / "Ayu to leave the industry!!!" rumors we'll get a year. They're basically the new "Ayu and Tomoya have split up! Ayu found a new man named Timmy!" since Ayu actually announced the end of her relationship in June 2007. Though those sorts of rumors seem to also be popping up, just not as often as the others. [Ayu and Jin Akanishi?! Ayu and Tetsuji Tamayama?! AYU'S BIG DECISION.]

Right now you don't see it on the front page of newspapers because there is nothing new to report, but that certainly doesn't mean that it isn't still going on behind the scenes and that it is not going to pop up again later (and bigger).

True, but Ayu doesn't have to be mentioned in the articles, you know? It's like in order to get people to notice the article, they just say "By the way, Ayumi Hamasaki was friends with the woman who rented out the flat to this guilty man! She's apparently under suspicion!" After Mika pretty much said a lot of what was being reported online was false, I don't think there's much to worry about at all. I think people have been accusing Mika of also being involved with drugs as well, just that Mika doesn't have legions of fans and Ayu does, haha.

Yes.. Japan is going on a huge hunt for celebrities (that already are popular) who do drugs, and they are targeting almost every celeb, until evidence suggest that he/she is clear.. why are there drugs anyway. sigh.

And its not even necassarily that the big artists are doing drugs (although I doubt any fan of Noriko Sakai would have said she was a druggie before she was caught), but that the people behind the scenes are and therefore by extension the actual stars get implicated as well. There were a lot of people in the entertainment industry at that party where the girl died and it seems the police are not ruling anything out.

I don't know if it is true or not, but at least the impression given in the press seems to be that that this was not a one time type of party, but a regular thing that was going on in this apartment owned by Mika. So I think its only natural that all of Mika's associates would come under suspicion, especially Ayu who was openly known as Mika's best friend basically. Even if Ayu herself didn't do drugs, just knowing that drug parties were going on, but failing to report it would be something the police would also look into. Ever since this happened, you don't see or hear much about Mika anymore from Ayu which means that this is having at least some effect (although small) since Ayu seems to be distancing herself.

Still though, anything can happen with this case and we may never know if Ayu was ever involved with anything at all or not.

Even if she had a little fun, we can't know that, unless there's a proof. The truth would be revelaed soon or later, but this article isn't showing any proof.

Anyway, there were many artists on drugs who made amazing music. So I can only pity her like Noriko Sakai.

This is nothing, its already been news, but they always bring up celebs "bad press" if it will get readers attention I guess but all this could be is that ayu knew the some people and they did the wrong thing and the police are all like ayu is in it because she knew someone on it. But regardless, I dont think it would damage here too servearly because if she was involved in any way and you liked her before and you just toss ayu aside with what you already liked of hers already, all her lyrics and everything she has said, It doesnt change any of that, she meant every thing she written/said and she always pushes herself to give us new songs and tours/concerts every year. But I dont really see how she would have time too

i just cant stand it when i heard my friends talk about Ayu and the fact is they even didnt know what the hell is going on and just accuse her for taking drugs sometimes it really hurt to hear that,non of us didnt whether is it true or not why people like to make such speculation about Ayu??

Some people thought Ayu did cocaine and some other drugs... which could have affected her voice somehow.

But I doubt she really was involved in this. Mika Noguchi just had a healthy baby girl in Hawaii, so her only link to this scandal is very clean to say the least, haha. I feel bad for Mikajohn... but I guess sometimes you never know you've made a bad choice (renting out that property) until something terrible happens.
