Wow, that tracklist is a lot. Is each of the normal edition discs made up of tracks selected by by a member? That would explain why the tracklist looks so all over the place and even the new songs are scattered all over. I hope the new songs are good.

Oh, also: all those b-sides on the bonus disc, but no Haru Ichiban or Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo??? Shame. Shame. Shame.

Ikimonogakari collaborate with 'Sokenbicha', reveals PV for campaign song

Ikimonogakari's new song "Bokura no Yume" has been picked up as the 2016 campaign song for 'Sokenbicha'. The special edition of this PV has been revealed via Sokenbicha's official website and Youtube channel.

"Bokura no Yume" can be found in Ikimonogakari's best-of album "Chou Ikimonobakari ~Tennen Kinen Members BEST Selection~", which dropped in stores on March 15. In the recently revealed PV, you can see the band performing "Bokura no Yume" on a grass-covered plain. The CM using this song will air starting in May.

Ikimonogakari to be in charge of Nakatani Miki's starring drama

Ikimonogakari will be providing the theme song "Sweet! Sweet! Music!" for TBS drama "Watashi Kekkon Dekinainjanakute, Shinain desu" (premieres April 15).


Many of Ikimonogakari's songs have been a hit, including "Arigatou", which was the theme song for morning drama "Gegege no Nyobo". This time, they were asked to sing the theme song as they are popular with both men and women of all ages.


Actress Nakatani Miki, who plays the drama's protagonist, met the band on set the other day. She says has already learned the lyrics and even sung a line, "Ironical ni cynical..." Fujiki Naohito said, "It's a comedy [drama], so I wanted to draw out its tempo. We are being supported by this energetic song."


The theme song will be included in Ikimonogakari's best-of album "Chou Ikimonobakari ~Tennen Kinen Members BEST Selection~" to be released on March 15.

突然のご報告ではございますが、この度いきものがかりは「放牧宣言」を掲げ、リフレッシュのために一旦各自 のペースでメンバーそれぞれの可能性を伸ばすことを目的とした放牧期間へ入ることとなりました 。


昨年はメジャーデビュー10周年を迎え、ベストアルバムのリリースや3人の地元・海老名と厚木での記念ライ ブも開催することができ、いきものがかりにとって素晴らしいアニバーサリーイヤーとなりました。本当にたく さんの方々に支えていただきながら歩んできたことを噛み締めつつ、ここに改めて感謝申し上げま す。

デビューからの10年間ならびに結成からの17年間、これまでいきものがかりは3人でのグループとしての活 動にこだわりを持って歩んで参りました。その上で、彼らはこの10周年を機に、次へのステップとしてグルー プの枠を超え、思い思いに各自の時間を過ごしていくことで新たな成長を手にしようとしています 。

この新しい一歩をどのように伝えるか、チーム全体で考え、「放牧」と表現することに致しました 。

ファンの皆様をはじめ、関係者の皆様にはご心配をおかけしてしまうことと思います。
これより一度、3人はそれぞれに自由な活動をして参りますが、「放牧宣言」にもある通り、彼らの帰る場所が いきものがかりであることに変わりはありません。

EDIT: Ikimonogakari to enter "grazing period." In other words, apparently they're going on temporary hiatus to focus on solo activites... Oooh... Haven't heard of Ikimonogakari members doing solo activities before...

Ikimonogakari announces indefinite hiatus

Last year, Ikimonogakari celebrated its 10th major label anniversary. Who would have said they would be disbanding now?

Pop-rock band Ikimonogakari has announced they are going on an indefinite hiatus to follow separate paths with a “Grazing Declaration”, a heartwarming message from the members. Coupling the cattle-themed announcement, they have taken part in a last photo shoot in which they were dressed up as cows. It has not been revealed yet which solo activities each one of them is going to pursue, though it will be revealed in the future in their official site. Read the full comment just after the jump.

We sincerely thank you for support Ikimonogatari.

This is a sudden announcement but we have decided to put out a “Grazing Declaration”. We are going to be entering a period of grazing as each member has decided to pursue their own possibilities at their own face in order to refresh.

As we reached our tenth year anniversary last year, we were able to do many things like release a best hits album and perform an anniversary live. It was a wonderful anniversary year for Ikimonogatari. We are really grateful once again that many of our fans were able to support us while we were reflecting on our paths.

It was our 10th year anniversary since we made our debut as well as our 17th year anniversary of when we formed the band. Up until now, we walked on with a commitment to doing activities as a three-member group. In an opportunity during this tenth year anniversary, we crossed over the limitation of being a group when thinking about the next step.
After each member spent their free time just as one likes, the band has decided to take on a new growth.

At first, we didn’t know how to really convey this new stage. So, the whole team thought about it and we came up with expressing it as “grazing”.

We thought that we may cause concern among our staff and, not to mention, our fans.

From this moment, each member will proceed on their solo activities. However, as the “Grazing Declaration” says, our returning place will never change as we will always be Ikimonogari.

We thought that this grazing period is a very important time for the sake of our growth towards our existence as being loved by our fans. The three of us will step forward on our new paths as we hope our fans will continue to watch over us warmly.

The staff also wants everyone to see a new Ikimonogatari. They will proceed together while continually supporting the members.

Aww, they were one of the first jpop artists that I discovered back in 2011. This "indefinite hiatus" feels like a disband, right? On the other side, I haven't been excited for one of their release since long ago. I wish them luck in their future activities.

Ohh, indefinite hiatus sounds ominous. I hope they do get back together one day, after recharging their batteries by working on their own. I also hope they'll release some music during their solo activities -- especially Kiyoe, as her songs have been some of my favourites ever since Mirai Wakusei.
