^well i think that stuff should be mentioned because it's a huge thing but everyting else is not - names, places they go, things they do, speak bla bla. Lots of celebs in JP do announce the engagements or marriages, but they don't go public with details.

Well, she did keep the relationship private up to now, but engagement is somewhat bigger to keep it totally private... But it's good that she only mentioned they're engaged and nothing more, so it is somewhat private

It's probably better this way than she suddenly being married like it happened with Mannie...

The thing is if she wants to marry or remarry, I don't mind at all. But, why it have to be an American person, everytime？
Japan is a huge country with many famous and rich handsome boys... why she doesn't pick from there？And, it will be the same thing all over again. Goin' back and forth each time to Japan then Los Angeles...

Yeah. If Janet Jackson was able to keep her marriage a secret for YEARS (until they divorced, actually), then Ayu should have no problem. She's kind of a publicity whore these days, I hate to say it.

She was married just once before, and this one is actually the first American, Mannie was Austrian... And that makes it 2 non-Japanese boyfriends on total. So saying everytime is being over dramatic...
Also, race shouldn't matter at all when it's about love, expecting her to marry a Japanese guy because she's Japanese is too much...

Yeah, she really didn't have to post all the photos with him - or at least the one of her sitting on his lap. If we were able to figure it out from those alone, she's already not doing a good job.

if she feels want to be with any of them, except japanese, it's her own business. she has the right to choose whom she's going to be with, she's not a 15 yo kid, she's already 35 yo adult woman, she can choose whoever she wants, only she knows who's good or bad. we know almost nothing about her personal life. she's the only one who has to experience herself, she has to go through that relationship to realize what's worth it and what's not. as fans, the best we can do is only to support her decision. but if you are really done with her, then nothing can stop you.

That University Student Amercian (person) is like a 25 years old and Ayu is 35 years old. Next year, she will turn 36 yeard old？Not to mention, that guy is around the same age as me. From reading the comments I'm sad to see everyone being so negative.

Yes, he and Ayu have quite the age difference but age shouldn't matter if they are in love. Age is just a number. (I know from experience I'm 24 and my boyfriend is 36 and we are very happy.)

This guy is going to be a doctor so I doubt he's a total freeloader. He has to have some kind of money to be putting himself thru med school. (And to be dating Ayu knowing her expensive taste. xD)
