Why you think he is shallow? I think if he sounds shallow, it's probably just his inability to properly express himself I also am not really impressed by him learning Japanese... I mean, isn't it easy for Korean speakers?

^I don't know, but it is a pretty big feat. I saw a video of him on Korean TV and they said he's fluent in Japanese, he's also of course fluent in Korean and now he's learning English! Wow. He's amazing.

I think he said six months. He's been living in the US for that long.
