yeah Mahaloha is a good summer song. Sitting in the sun, drinking a cocktail and hearing that music. Without the rap part. Will there be a non rap version on the single?? would be fine with me if they let him out.

I think Yuna would have done well by herself on the song. The collaboration wasn't necessarily, and I think it brought down the song. It's starting to grow on me, the whole light breeze hawaii thing, but yup, it's lacking backing vocals! I'm surprised that the producers of the song failed to see that, and it's us fans who get it.

Anyway, I like the song. It sounds natural, except for the guy. I hope the single would include a solo version... (This, "Wonderful Life" by AAA, and probably "glitter" by Ayu will be this summer's themes!)

As for the backing vocals, I don't think Hawaiians use backing vocals made by themselves often.. usually, it's done in harmony with other people...

Yeah, we don't usually have backing vocals. Well, I've noticed that in Hawaiian music a lot. It's straight up what you see is what you get. They don't like to cover up their voices in synthesizers or over-produced background music. I think it's nice.

On another side note, this is probably one of the most famous songs in Hawai'i, and it's sort of popular with film makers. It's rather beautiful.

I'm still not really fond of the song. The PV was quite boring for me.
