I think after Ayumi's 10 year anniversary she will start sellnig more because maybe it will be like with what (from what i know) B'z are like ... considered like musical legends in japan ... and many other old bands.

But yes ... The sales are decent. We still have 4 more days for her to double her total sales so far.

And once again - Isnt the indicator 1.81 not 1.75?

I agree. B'z has managed to keep pumping out #1 hits for like...15 years. I'm convinced that Ayu's talent and star power will allow her to do the same In any rate, I'm sure that glitter/fated will be #1 for at least a week.

Ayu can keep her #1 streak going for a while even with these deflated sales so long as she releases on the right date. Although I think that if she doesn't want her career to keep fading away she's gonna have to release a hit ala FoL very soon, though.

^Most of the singers has a long/longer careers and never or even doesn't reach/ed to ayu's sales.

ayu can keep her career up even with such a sales for at least 15-30 more years or so.
Even with a lot smaller profits.
I don't think it will fade so quick.

FOL wasn't such hit, maybe just its sales, because of a really good marketing.
The song just good but nothig special...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't big sales the most important part of being a hit?

I think Ayu needs a single to break 500k soon... her sales have been dropping slowly but surely... Maybe she should do something like A ~part II~.. lol

I got my copy of A recently.. ...

Are you crazy? It was a huge hit. It made her top the 2006 favorite artist list by Oricon for the first time in 2 years, it is the best-selling digital single ever (7 million copies sold) and digital + physical sales equal 7.7 million sold making it the best-selling single ever. So yes, Flavor of Life was a giant huge hit.

decline was expected, actually a bit better than i expected. declines wed o thurs are really harsh for eeryone, and it will most especially be for an artist who has rabid fans purchasing on the first day of release. glad that porno graffitti didn't steal the first place slot. now ayu getting number 1 is better, probably 80% chance already.
