Why Arashi is releasing so many singles???Hope they don´t release on 14...

nah, they are releasing on 7th, which is crashing on ayu.

but, the more dangerous one is AKB48, they are releasing a new single on 21st, with 11 versions and 9 of them are first press.
Their fanbase is SCARY, they just made a new record for the latest single [ポニーテールとシュシュ] with 513,453 on the first day.

this is the highest record within 9 years!

Anywho, I'm not worried at all about Kuu's charting. To this day, she doesn't have many number ones, so I, too, just focus on what she actually sells. As far as the charts go, she has no records to keep, and no expectations to meet......Kind of relaxing, when you're an Ayu fan. XD

I think Fishbowl have grown on me SLIGHTLY.....those are certainly some catchy songs, if anything, hah. They're catchy in such an annoying way, though. That's what bugs me. :\ And Lollipop is catchy because it's so simple and it's easy to make fun of of. For you is still the highlight for me, until I can get over - if I can - how irritating the others can be. ^^' And I definitely like Outside better. Kuu sounds weird in the lower register, but I've always hated her cute voice. :X And I like the guitars I'm hearing in Outside.

I like Outside Fishbowl much more than Inside, but neither of the songs make me really excited yet. Still love Lollipop though! Can't wait for PV previews! There's still 5 weeks until the release, though.

who cares about number ones? does taking the number one place on the charts make you a better artist than whoever else is releasing? lol i hate those stupid "streaks" especially when avex is known to switch release dates just so their artists can get number 1. i don't care if gossip candy doesn't chart at 1, none of my favorite kuu singles were number 1s anyway.

i can't hear a difference in the new version of outside. i still love lollipop and got to be real though!

Besides, ignoring Oricon, Kuu is (or at least used to be) a Chaku Uta powerhouse, so that's something! XD

And yeah, I agree, charts in the end mean nothing. I'm an Oricon freak, I love sales numbers, I'm beyond saving, but I really urge people not too care too much about it XD. And anyway, as much as I love knowing about sales, they don't decide whether or not I like an artist. I LOVE doa and they barely scratch the top 30 ^^

As soon as declining sales will result in tours that look like Dirty Ballroom and her PVs lose quality, I'm no concerned. UNIVERSE tour seems extremely high-budget and the sales of the album weren't stellar by any means.

Oh no... It seems that AKB48 is charging very hard at Arashi, despite that their release dates are two weeks apart... At least July 14th should be RESERVED only for Ayu...

These days of dropping record sales means artists need to get more money from concerts, and they do! It's the same in the rest of the world. Music output is secondary, concerts and merchandising are what matter XD (Talking from a record company point of view, of course)

well, 363k are still a pretty good sales! Considering the high price of the album, the fact that in Japan is nowadays very usual to purchase digital versions, and the decline in physical sales that is invading the whole world, they are very good sales. But yeah, not stellar anyway like was BC, FT, SS or even Kingdom.
It's very near to Trick in sales, and obviously this is something good. It means that her fanbase it's still suporting her (but I think that singers ears most part of their profit on the tours, and since kuu continues to make the effort of keep continuity and innovation on her tours we can be happy )

You also have to consider about the digital world the companies are facing - music stores, peer-to-peer sites, what's the problem with them also?

And what about the economic downturn and those expensive ticket prices that some people just cannot afford?

and my fave previews are so far Inside Fishbowl and Lollipop, they're so catchy and perfect for summer the whole single is gonna be great though. I can't wait for the PVs!!! *_*

That's not an issue. People WILL go to see their favourite artists. I've read that although record sales have dropped, concert profits have soared. I don't think there's an issue in that ; )

Anyway, I'm really pumped for this single. So many great announcements from THE BIG THREE (Kuu, Ayu and Namie in my head XD) lately.
