The logic is pretty simple if 50k isn't a bit deal then shouldn't it be easy to sell additional 50k? I'm not insulting anyone but saying 50k isn't huge in today's sales is pretty flawed.

I didn't say that it'll sell tons nor did I say it'll outsell Love songs, all I said was 50k is a lot.

You're not insulting anyone, but I think you are wrong. You can only say it shouldn't be hard for someone to sell 50k, not additional 50k as that way it simply doesn't make that much sense, as you can't keep selling additional 50k all the time (depending on how long has the album been on the charts). You could as well say that 1000 copies is a big deal when an album is in it's 15th week and barely selling 50 copies a day. 50k isn't that big deal for the majority of popular artists, for people who barely sell it is. For Ayu who's singles sell around 50k in 2-3 days tops, it still isn't.

i don't think that if an album outsold other by 50k even nowadays (in japan) we can tell that it outsold the other by a huge number of copies... 50k matters, of course, but isn't THAT HUGE.

^I'm really curious about how much Ayu's next single's gonna sell, I sort of see a big drop. On the other hand she has a good(?) tie-in, so maybe it'll sell a lot, hehe.

BoA's Tales of graces single sold more than her studio album that followed ^^ With some luck and TV promo the single shouldn't have troubles selling over 100k.

Do you mean Mamoritai? It just sold 50k, whereas Identity sold 60k... even so, it did go Gold digitally and her two singles released before and after it just sold 15k, so you definitely have a point

Did it? The last time I checked it was around 50k. Oh well the point is, BoA hasn't had a single that sold that well since Sweet Impact and LOVE LETTER (and it outsold both of those).

Probably if avex releases a "Tales version of the single" (with a pic of the game instead ayu in the cover), ayu is gonna sell more, or at least she is not gonna drop a lot IMO
