Plus, TiTO had a tour to support it that sold out! I'd say it was more successful.
That had nothing to do with TITO. Girl went abroad for the first time, she would've sold out anything because we had never seen her before. If Exodus had a USA/EU "Exodus Tour" it would've sold out I'm sure.

Yeah I agree. Utada is in high demand no matter what.

Well, regardless of whether or not you count the tour... I still think This Is The One was more successful in the States than EXODUS was.

I love both albums though.

I live in the U.K...and wouldn't buy that if you paid me. I've never liked that cover, it looks like she's getting choked by that scarf I own the US edition and I really like it, but each to their own.

I've got the both versions, and although I don't think either cover is fantastic, I do like the UK cover better!

I like the uk cover so much more (besides, it had kick ass ymmwtbam remixes). All her albums are just head shots. And this is a head shot, but actually has something interesting about it, instead of the standard, "head shot in front of a solid shade of color" cover.

I hate both covers. UK one is definitely better. I'd rather have the Japanese box set though.

^there's an exodus box set!?

Also damn. We're moving right along. We're actually more active in this thread than when hikki wasn't on hiatus. I think we'll do just fine for the next few years. lol

^I don't think there was a box set. The initial Japanese pressing though had like a cardboard slipcase and an extra booklet with the Japanese lyrics & other pictures. I think that's what Poly was talking about.

..and to be quite honest, this "hiatus" feels no different than the period right after any other Hikki release. xD It won't feel like a hiatus to me unless she really does end up taking more than a year off.

anyways, speaking of box sets, I really wish utada released a japanese press of the single collection box set. It's looks really cool. Too bad it's only korean press though. And it's rare. I don't really care about what press it is, but the fact that it's only korean press, and only released in korea made it soo much more rare and hard to find. iirc it had all her singles from the first up to be my last. It also had the album single collection vol. 1. and it had i think the cd+dvd version of be my last.

Spoiler:

I would love this for scv2 also! it wouldn't be that great of a box set though. cause it'd only have singles passion-pol. And that's only 7 singles. lol scv1 box set is 14 singles.

Anyone watch Utada's sit down interview which was televised like January 15th or something? It was about her *COUGH*"Hiatus"*COUGH* and her feelings and stuff.

Great performances.. Her voice always sounds much better than Ayu's in her live concerts..

Ah, the good old days.. I'm going to miss Hikki!
Do you remember those animations that were made for the Exodus songs (weren't they called fluxx?) I never quite understood their purpose..

^for me it's the opposite. I always prefer Ayu live than Hikki. I don't want to make up the discussion who of the two is better. i just want to say that's not a fact that Hikki is better (or Ayu).
