I visited Free Record Shop today (I don't know if you guys know that store but it's a store that sells CDs and DVDs). I was looking through the DVDs and then I saw it...

They had 71 - Into the Fire. I almost fainted. So I flipped the DVD case (to see the backcover) and I saw a picture of TOP! It was a small picture but still And it also said "starring (...) Choi Seung-Hyun" (in small letters but who cares ).

Happiest day of my life.

Family of deceased motorcyclist claims they are unable to reach a compromise due to YG’s attitude



On July 10th, Dispatch News held an interview with the family of the deceased motorcyclist, Hyun, involved in Daesung’s car accident. The interview reveals that both the family and YG Entertainment have not come to terms with a compromise.

YG Entertainment has only contacted the family twice, the first being when YG Entertainment delivered their side of the story and the second being when both parties met to share each others’ side of the story. Due to the differences in opinions during the second meeting, both sides have not kept in contact with each other.

Hyun’s family claims that YG Entertainment has not kept their word on doing everything they could for the family. The two sides are having the most difficult coming to a compromise on the amount of settlement money. The family is requesting for an amount that is suitable for deaths related to car accidents, while YG Entertainment is offering an amount that is “enough for consolation.” Unfortunately, the difference between the two amounts are inevitably vast. The family claims the amount YG is offering is not enough to compensate for a child’s death.

Another issue the family has is the attitude YG has approaching the situation. The family members expressed, “Money is not important. If our child comes back alive, then none of that matters. What we want is an honest heart. All YG Entertainment did was contact us in a one-sided manner with how much they were willing to settle for, and that makes us feel humiliated."


A family member going by the name of ‘A’ revealed, “They asked us whether or not we saw SBS’s ‘We Want to Know the Truth‘. They claimed that Daesung did not hit a normal passerby, that someone was already dying. I wanted to get up from that seat and leave the scene. Yes, our child is responsible for the situation, but is that really something to say now?”

‘A’ continued, “The police have already stated that the reason for his death was because of Daesung’s accident. But YG is using what was broadcast on television to raise another point. I felt so dark after hearing that. I wondered if YG was not believing in what the police was saying.”

The family then expressed their disappointment with YG for not being active in the pursuit of a compromise.


In addition, the family revealed a shocking statement by YG Entertainment that made them wonder whether the company even cares for Daesung. They said, “YG told us that they had nothing to lose. Even without Daesung, Big Bang is promoting just fine, and they said that they had time because it would take a while for Daesung to return anyway. They said they weren’t in a rush. If they’re like this to Daesung, what must they feel for our child…? I could not find an ounce of respect from them.”

Dispatch also contacted YG Entertainment for a statement, and representatives responded, “We are doing our best for the compromise. There aren’t any particular differences in opinions. We are mediating and balancing each other’s sides.”
