Her TK music is also awesome. Especially songs on Infinity Eighteen Vol.1 and 2. I also love her debut album SA quite a lot (it has all night long on it! ), but my overall favorite album is DOLCE, of course.

I haven't been listening to Ami so much after I had that crazy fandom of her songs in 2009. It's so sad because she used to be my #3 favorite singer. Then I overplayed her songs and now there's nothing new coming out. It's 4 years since Supreme Show.

really? I was listening to Infinity Eighteen Vol.1 last night and wasnt that impressed with it... I like her dancer side really... plus it was the late 90's...
not to much in to JPN late 90's.

Yeah, just like ASfXX, Ami's old stuff is... an acquired taste.
Her post-Avex stuff (3 albums plus Fantastic from CONETTA) are the best.
One REALLY needs some musical taste to like her old stuff. I don't know why Japan went Ape**** over her a long time ago. But I still recommend 'white key'. Not too bad at all.

Suzuki Ami remains silent about rumored relationship with Takaoka Sousuke

On September 8th, singer Suzuki Ami appeared at Bunkamura Orchard Hall in Shibuya for a public rehearsal for the musical, ‘Hashire Melos‘.

Earlier in June, weekly tabloid magazine ‘FRIDAY‘ reported Suzuki’s relationship with actor Takaoka Sousuke. After taking a few photos, reporters asked Suzuki, “Is the relationship going well?“, along with many other questions regarding the relationship. The singer remained silent and responded with a smile.

Kawamura Ryuichi, who plays the lead role in the musical, followed up on the questions saying, “She’s a pure girl.“ ’Hashire Melos’ will run in Tokyo until September 11th.

Well, I'm a 90s kid (I was born in 1988) so I like the music from that time. And also, I'm a fan of Tetsuya Komuro's music. But in Ami's case I think the popularity she had came mostly from the singing competition that she won in late 1997 or early 1998, I'm not quite sure, but she was popular the moment her first single was released (love the island).

Sometimes I really wonder what kind of artist she might be today if that blacklisting issue didn't happen in 2000.

I really wish they would just let her go, why keep her on the label when you're not letting her do anything. Yeah she released a BEST but only one new song "Future" and it was a bonus track released on iTunes. I think making cds & dvds in Japan is expensive to manufacture, so if avex doesn't want to spend too much money on Ami, they should release new music digitally like on iTunes.

Here's info I collected about last single that was cancelled, when avex gave up on her:
Ami was gonna release a new single produced by Yasutaka Nakata on January 27 2010. Yasutaka Nakata last worked with Ami on Supreme Show album. After KISS KISS KISS single flopped, avex cancelled the new single. I used google to translate the description about the new song, it was described as having a club sound that was polished, honed, whatever. I hope one day the song will get a release.
