Sadly, I have to agree. After a few listens, my current impression is that nothing on this album really sticks out for me. The singles are, of course, nice in the way that Kana singles usually are (conventional, safe-sounding, passive) but I was really hoping to be blown away by at least a few of the album tracks, or "upper" tracks, like I was with her previous albums. Even though Love Place has the same basic constituents, the tracks on this one just feel like inferior revisions.

If this is Kana's idea of becoming "mature" (which is perhaps what she is suggesting by her styling on the cover), I don't think it'll lead any place interesting or engaging.

Actually, opinions are very much needed about an artist in that artist's thread. I think the lame one here is the person that was so rude to everyone that she had a hissy fit and left the forums, then created another account.

I do love the new album.. but aside from one or two new songs, I feel it doesn't stand out as much as her previous albums. Having said that, Be Strong is my jam.

I grabbed it. XD Freaked me out at the time though, thought some random Chinese lady was in my room, since I was listening through my headphones...

I am terribly sorry, but I've been a Kana fan since her gyaru-releases days when major part of the forum didn't even care about her, so do not tell me what to do, yes okay

Which single was released when you discovered Kana? I heard Tokutemo on the J1FM top 40, but I wasn't really into her that much until Motto was released.

I was also listening to Kana's last album... I really do think I like this one more... its got a good mix... and I find a lot more songs that I dont want to skip through.
I love her last album, and there are a few songs on there that I will also love (Alright), but as an overall album, I think Love place is amazing.

I listened the album through more than 10 times and then decided to take a small break before I concentrate on it again. I still adore the album a lot, but after the first hype dies down with me I need a break before I overplay my favorite songs on the album.

I was looking at the numbers today, and sadly it doesn't look like it will break the 200k... if it does... that will be good... but it looks like its going to sell just a little under the first week sales of thank you, love

That BEST album Love best or Best love might be around the corner now and it would be a perfect winter release ;-)
The Love Place album is okay although songs like Watashitachi,GO FOR IT,Love Song and Honey are totally skippable,Tattoe donna ni is still good and Sakura I love you is instant hit
Food for thought how many albums she titled Love? I think its time for a reinvention at least in naming her albums this like Love-this-love-that

I've always felt that artists on Sony face a decline in sales sooner than other artists after their peak. I've been looking at the overall sales of the artists on that label and it doesn't seem that rare. They peak seems to be a lot shorter than with the artists on Avex, for example. I wonder why. o_O

Be Strong is an amazing track and all the others that she has done are pretty good as well...
I just think single artist are the in thing right now, sadly.

I don't know what people are not liking about the album actually. For me it is her best. Thank You, Love had one track I totally loved and it was Where Are You. Maybe it's becauze I got into Kana later and came to love her for her upbeat songs which there are plenty of on this album. Seriously confused on why people don't like Honey - it iz zo catchy! Hate the ghetto-wannabe bridge part but the chorus is candy for the brain.

Excuze my 'z' where 's' zhould be but my s key is acting up and zometimez i have to presz really hard for it to work and zometimes i zubztitute z for s. lol.

I also got into Kana during her last album... Distance was my first single and fell in love.

Her second album is the best. I loved almost all of the tracks! I never cared about her debut album, the third one was a bit disappointing when compared to the 2nd one, and this one is just boring. The ballads are bland and too long. The mid-tempo /cute songs are forgettable. FANTASY reminds me of Hitomi Shimatani, I have no idea why xD
