Great story oro77 and nice info SunshineSlayer.
Are you sure it's in Shinjuku? Because Tokyo metro station is located near Ginza in Chuo-ku. Or Did you mean (huge) Shinjuku Station?

You can exchange euro and dollars (and some other major currencies) at the airport, right after you passed customs. Same goes for when you go back home, left over (paper) money can be exchanged back. (and I must the say, the assistant there, was extremely friendly & helpful ) I actually had enough cash money with me last time, so I didn't need to use my credit card. But I think you can go and withdraw money at a bank or post office.

That's a very good deal, I had about 1000euro (that's about 1200$) for the same thing, I had 6 nights. But it looks nice.
I haven't planned my hotels yet, I'm still researching for my other cities in Japan to visit (Kyoto, Osaka, Himeji, maybe some others too, and of course Tokyo, for going to the Yokohama concert).

I would say that is almost impossible. It's quite easy to find tickets sold in pairs, but I never saw 3 or 4 together. Your best bet, like always, would be the auction pages. I hope you manage to get them, if not you can always try to find 4 tickets from the same block, so that you'll be somewhat close to each other at least.

As immel said, it will be very hard. Even in auctions, most of the time, it is a pair of tickets but 4 is too much !

I got an inquiry for 4 tickets to the Saitama show:

The item in your inquiry:
1.Ticket: Ayumi Hamasaki 3/11 at Saitama Super Arena
http://ap0.pia.co.jp/pia/et/onsale/o...&P_CODE=250308
Price: 7800 yen (tax included)
Qty: 4 / Sub Total: 31200 yen (tax included)
Release date: February 3 2007
*Domestic shipping cost(shop to our office): 600 yen
Pia online ticket service charge: 210x4 840 yen
http://t.pia.co.jp/info/about_pia_mail_order_law.html

Estimate (PayPal)
1.ticket (qty:4) 31200 yen
------------------------------
sub total 31200 yen
domestic shipping 1440 yen
international shipping ? yen*
handling 7000 yen http://www.akibado.com/personalimport.html#handling
------------------------------
total 39640 yen
PayPal fee 1546 yen**
------------------------------
payment 41186 yen (excluding international shipping)

Note: 1 US dollar = 117.67 yen (Jan 12 2007)

Is it really cheaper when I arrive in Japan? 350 for four tickets doesn't seem bad to me at all...

JinHamasaki, you're ordering the tickets before they are released and you don't know where your seats will be, but you'll get 4 beside each other. The ticket buying guide that I have is for when the tickets is already released and you know which seats you get when you buy them.

Ordering now, before they are released, is the best thing you can do, pretty much. 10,000 yen each is quite good prices. To order now is more or less also the only way to get 4 seats beside each other.

@ayu1m - a link in his post is hinting on that it's akibado.com he's using.

As I´m starting to look for tickets on Yahoo...

Is the Block Letters always the same? So Block A1 is always front block and B1 the one behind?
Because I want B1-Block Tickets and I want to be sure that they are not counting from behind or something xD
And sometimes there are numbers in the description and no letters for the block... I´m a lil confused at the moment xD

So how can I see were the seat is from the descripion or ticket photo?

~angel*ayumi~, you are correct, B1 is right behind A1. I don't see why you'd want B1 tickets, it's SO MUCH to the left, I was in B2 front row, and I thought that was totally too much to the left, even if it was pretty close to the stage. Cheaper that way though...

Be careful: Akibado can be slow...

They may respond quick to you for the bidding, but it takes a while before they know how much the shipping is and they send it. But as they are just tickets, it might be quicker, as they probably don't have to go to the post office to measure/weight the item.

For people aiming at buying tickets from a Japanese auction page, such as yahoo auctions, I just got to know about two other pages that you can use.

http://celga.com. A page like akibado, but according to someone I know this place seems a lot more effective, with very nice staff and quick replies to email.

http://rinkya.com. Another page which I know that people have been using with satisfaction, I heard they are a little more expensive than celga.com but they are also a bigger service.

They seem very helpful to me so far. I emailed them asking if they could ask a seller some questions and they have done

That's great to know. I'm glad whenever anyone post about their experiences in this thread, because it will make it easier for other people in the future.

Well, I think I have found the right tickets for me. A seller is selling 4 individual tickets, which I think are in sequential order, just waiting for confirmation on that. So, I can buy just the 3 I need.

The seats are C3, which I would say are average.
