Yeah plus most of her summer singles are fun and lighthearted.

LOVEppears took a year or so to grow on me, as it's not a regular Ayu album.I still don't like LOVE~Refrain~ and I prefere the radio edit of kanariya, but over all LOVEppears was a great mixture of everything, And then and immature were amazing, and the whole album was kinda bouncy and fun, but had a dark feel to it.Its hard to explain it

^ Yes it is very "early" Ayu. It was my first Ayu album I recieved because I read that it had a lot of techno beats to it and I loved it (and still do).

its scary of how strong kobukuro is...
i think they will beat chemistry and get number 2 position for this week
from look - kobukuro is bleh
from voice - yes its good
from song - i think their single song is good, but their album track is bleh
what make them so special? its weird, i think their popularity is rise when they release best album, just like what happen to koda

I agree with some that Ayu has been singing quite a lot of pop-rock songs. While I don't mind that because I love Ayu's rock tracks, I kinda prefer the type of rock she used to sing compared the the type of rock she does now. I prefer NEVER EVER, Heartplace, I am... and Daybreak over is this LOVE?, 1 LOVE, t2m, Marionette...

KOBUKURO has one of the most down-to-earth, real sounds in the Japanese industry today. Their style is bordering on "folk" music, and it's really simple and lovely, actually. I adore KOBUKURO and totally wish them the best.

Well, sort of. Her pop/rock tracks like NEVER EVER were just great. They had the rock element I love and yet, it's unique and special. Her recent rock tracks like t2m, 1 LOVE, GAM... is a bit to crowed and loud in my opinion. I love love love alterna and kiss o' kill though. The arrangements and instruments in these 2 are just great.

Well, I don't know if this is true but I heard that in Japan, male singers and male bands/groups always sell better than female singers/bands/groups. Maybe something to do with their culture?

But still, we all know GUILTY is going to sell pretty well in the end.

And, I've always been just okay with Ayu's rock songs from the start. I still love her ballads the most. Haha.

Currently male bands/groups are more likely to sell more than females. In the end this album was restricted to a niche. GUILTY is more of a mature/adult themed album which might not appeal to teens.

Also the lack of purely pop songs probably turned off a lot of fans. There were only like two or three. So I guess it's doing pretty well. Probably it'll end selling a little less than Secret, which was more mainstream imo.
