Ayu, new RIMMEL spokeperson for Asia - Page 8

I'm browsing to see the comments on mixi, and I forgot she has done ads for Dior (just a couple, I think, back in 2007), so she definitely keeps getting better make-up deals!

Here are two clippings from newspapers:

Here's the new poster they're using to show her deal at the concerts (before, they would have a poster with just words on it, and of course people standing around, saying only 500 are available, etc):

It only seems like her hardcore fans are liking this deal. Other people are just basically saying "whatever" (apparently, some people were saying some really mean things on other sites, like Yahoo). I read some comments about people being really upset by those mean words. Of course, I saw a few comments saying Ayu works too hard, that she's constantly busy each day, haha.

and my god ayu looks smoking !

maybe it's not a super expensive brand like chanel, dior, etc, etc... but maybe it's a more accesible make up brand for normal people... so more people can buy it... and it's young people 15-25 where she has more fans, normally not rich XD

it's so amazing cause this is the first time ayu works for an international brand... wacoal was also outside japan, bot only asia... even though the promotion will be only in japan/asia this brand is mainly poplar in europe... so interesting ^^

Rimmel is a cool trendy brand, it may be cheap, but I'm a huge makeup fan using high end to low end brands, and Rimmel stuff are used a lot by makeup artists (and they are not endorsed to say that! I spied in backstage shows). Stuff is good quality and does it job

People are going on about how this is some sort of international endorsement... call me pessimistic but I doubt it. I believe it's only Asia exclusive. For example, I went to the Rimmel websites and she only appears in the JP portal. Kate Moss and Lily Cole is still very much the face of Rimmel internationally still.

...but I want that to change! I would freak to see Ayu's ads at my local drugstore.

I always thought she was weird looking... Which is why avoided Rimmel LOL. Funny what the right spokesperson can do. But if it's good enough for Ayu, I could give it a try
