LIVE TOUR 2011 ~Dejavu~ Surpassed All-Time Record!!

On February 8th, Koda Kumi's LIVE TOUR 2011 ~Dejavu~ was released. So far, it has sold 25,000 copies and placed #1 on the Oricon Weekly DVD list.

This sets a new record for Koda Kumi to be the first artist to reach #1 DVD on the Oricon Weekly Charts for 8 consecutive years!! She's achieved #1 every year since secret ~FIRST CLASS LIMITED LIVE~ back in 2005. Right now, the only artist behind her is the duo Mr. Children, who have accomplished the same for 7 consecutive years.

Among soloists, Koda Kumi's DVD as also achieved the record of "greatest number of top music DVD" with Hideaki Takizawa and Utada Hikaru following.

Ahh well done Kuu! Our Queen of live deserves it!!
Is this because in their cultures they have to be so polite in person that when they get online and can be anonymous they just let their inner demons out or something?

Do you have any links to any essays or theories on it? Sounds interesting

I'm...not feeling the new album. The genres aren't really my cup of tea. Love Technique, Everyday, and IN THE AIR are my favorites. (IN THE AIR is probably in the top tier of my all time favorite Kuu songs, actually).

Of course I need to give it a bunch more listens, but I don't know... I haven't watched the videos for any of the new songs yet so those could definitely change my opinions of everything haha.

Asian cultures are not the only ones that act like that on the internet....

We had some essays on it, but I don't have the links anymore. I took it during the fall term and my memory's a bit hazy. We only discussed it briefly in one of our lectures, but it's definitely interesting.

Yes, not really but when you look at how much pressure they get to achieve social harmony, it's not surprising that some would enjoy anonymity too much. This struggle for social harmony is really evident, especially on the Japanese culture.

Sorry, for the boring post.

I'm so happy for Kuu's record for 8 consecutive #1 concert DVDs streak. She's the QUEEN for heaven's sake so she deserves this.

I've noticed that a lot of the time, the Japanese protect anything thing about them that could link them to a real life person. Like, a lot of people here at AHS post up our blogs, pictures, twitter, facebook and don't think anything of it. But I find that Japanese people don't post anything about themselves. No faces, no real name, nothing.

I wanna try the Kuu pachinko. How many does she have now?

I was just referring to people not liking confrontation being face to face, but when they are protected by a computer screen people will attack each other over the littlest of things..
(just read some of the stuff on here... its pathetic how people treat each other really)

Well, I can assure you that I'm every bit as *****y and crazy in real life as I am online! Dunno if that's a good thing....

I wasn't following Kuu closely when her last few pachinko machines came out. Is something special supposed to happen??
