NEWS is this year's "24-Hour TV" main personality

It was announced that NEWS will serve as the main personality for this year’s “24 Hour TV~39~Love Saves the Earth~” program to broadcast in summer. The announcement was made during NTV’s “Jinsei ga kawaru 1-funkan no fukaihanashi” 2 hour special aired on March 28. Towards the end of the program broadcast, member Kato was interviewed by Kuroyanagi Tetsuko, as he announced that NEWS will be this year’s main personality for “24-hour TV”.

The theme for “24-hour TV” this year is “Love~ this is my way of life~“. This is the second time for NEWS to serve as the main personality since 2009. Each of the members, Koyama Keiichiro, Masuda Takahisa, Kato Shigeaki, and Tegoshi Yuya will have on-location challenge in accordance to the theme.

"24-Hour Television is not just for 24 hours. In fact, I think it connects people before and after the program. In 2013, I went to do a report about a choir performance and met high school students in the disaster area. And then the other day, I met one of them during his coming-of-age ceremony. At that time, I really felt how much 24-Hour Television connected us.

Therefore, I hope from now on for 24-Hour Television, NEWS members will be able to form connections with people before and after the programme, too."

NEWS chosen as main personality for this year's '24-Hour Television'

NEWS has been chosen as the main personality for NTV's "24-Hour Television 39 Ai wa Chikyuu wo Sukuu" that's scheduled to broadcast this summer.

The theme for this year's "24-Hour Television" is "Ai ~Kore ga Watashi no Ikiru Michi~", which roughly translates to "Love ~This is the Path I Live~". This will be NEWS' second time serving as the main personality for the program; the last time was back in 2009.

For the programme, members Koyama Keiichiro, Masuda Takahisa, Kato Shigeaki, and Tegoshi Yuya will each have an "on-location" challenge related to the theme.

Also Jia Rong , I feel that QUARTETTO is not as good as White as frankly the only album track I generally like in their new album is Sirius

Album material in White was stronger/more memorable imo even though I dislike the covers

Guess 4 nin NEWS set a rather high standard with NEWS (their comeback album) :x

White was filled with the corny JE boyband sound which is what I really dislike, and I stuck with NEWS because they had very little of those nonsense. QUARTETTO was really experimental and fresh. The crazy mix of genres in the album was really what sold it for me.
