^ I think it's kind of interesting the titles are bad. I hate common song titles, they destroy intrigue. The best part is she didn't mention "love" in any of the titles. That word is wayyy too overused.

The cover for the second single:

Skiing on alligators: for those days when you fancy a riskier mode of transport.

I've listened to half the album and Get Me Bodied is the only song I've liked. Disappointing, but I guess it will still sell like crazy. If Beyonce has heard about the criticism of the B'Day album/singles/videos, maybe she'll take extra care and deliver an awesome third album.

^you lie! what a weird cover for a single. Are you sure its real (I don't believe it) Beyonce has to have a bigger creative mark than that.

There have been reports about how Beyonce had alligators' mouths taped shut for a photoshoot, so I guess this pic could be one of those (though I thought the photos were going to be for B'Day promotion, not Ring the Alarm).

I don't think you can get anywhere more creative than that.. I thought it was hilarious. But still quite sexy..

I'm loving the album more and more!!! All it takes is repeated listens against your own will, it works wonders. Do you guys feel that "Listen" is quite out of place on the CD? I love Get Me Bodied and the extended mix.

I had my doubts, but I'm totally enthralled by the new album. For me, I thought her first solo effort was a huge disappointment. Sure, it had some hot, albeit conventional and safe singles, but the rest of the album was just bland and forgettable. Also, I felt her vocals on Dangerously in Love were too restrained; Beyoncé is one artist who can wail without sounding forced or obnoxious. Thankfully, her vocals on B day are impeccable and she is really showing off her pipes without trying to be showy. Not only are the vocals fantastic, but every song sounds so fresh and has a killer arrangement. Admittedly, the album is an acquired taste. It's wickedly weird, but after a few listens it goes from bizarre to delightfully experimental and stylish.

The singles, though excellent, I fear will be a bit too strange for the audience Beyoncé would normally be targeting, especially if the trend of campy, kitsch videos continues. However, I’m certain Irreplaceable will be an enormous hit, and I’m really hoping Ring The Alarm gets a better reception than the ill-fated Déjà Vu. Ring The Alarm came out at the tail end of summer, so I think it will fare better than Déjà Vu simply because it won’t be lost in the blaze of the countless strong summer singles from this year. Hopefully Beyoncé’s incredible performance at the VMA’s convinced a lot of people of Ring The Alarm’s greatness. Regardless of how the singles do, we know the album will be huge or at least much bigger than we expected. 700 000 in pre-orders alone is insane, and now that I’ve heard the album the album I think its well-deserved too.

Listen does sound out place, but that was expected since it's from the Dream Girls soundtrack and wasn't written for the album.

I felt the same way about DIL; most of the songs were "bland and forgettable." I didn't like her voice in DIL; it sounded a bit too deep for me for some reason. She didn't sound as enthusiastic as she does in her recent singles; it's almost as if she wasn't showing her full potential in her first album. I compared Crazy In Love to Ring the Alarm, and I can hear a huge difference. In CIL, she sounds bored; in the latter, her voice sounds so much more appealing, and it just sounds better. I laughed when I first heard Ring the Alarm, and I laughed even harder when I saw the MV (I still do laugh at the MV ), but now I realize the wonderful quality of her recent singles. Check On It is another great example of improvement in vocals. I haven't listened to her new album, but I think I'll pick up a copy at my local Target; judging from Deja Vu and Ring the Alarm, I think B'Day won't be too much of a disappointment and letdown as her debut album was.

EDIT: Beyoncé's skiing on alligators now?

What I have to say about Beyoncé's new album, however, is that the cover is completely awful. Of course, the cover isn't the most important aspect of an album, and it certainly won't change the quality of the songs, but I just had to give my opinion on it. The promo pictures for her recent works are ridiculous as well.

^Downloads for albums commercially available in the U.S. are not allowed at AHS. Sorry. Why don't you buy the album? It shouldn't cost too much; most stores (such as Target or Wal-Mart) sell them at around $13.

The album is for sale at Wal-Mart for 13.88, and they throw in a bonus DVD. I plan on picking it up tomorrow after work. <3

Since the singles that she has put out for the CD are great and that I love listening to, I plan on getting the cd this weekend.

I was supposed to buy my copy yesterday.
I'm in no rush though. I think I might get
Danity Kane's album instead.

Yay! Finally, the album won over you.

In Kitty Kat, she's singing about her sexual organs, isnt she?
