I'd say making the top 10 is pretty decent since her popularity with Soba ni iru ne is the only thing keeping her career above water. Like you guys mentioned, the song isn't that great anyways. The only reason those NINKI numbers were so high was because of name recognition/interest, that doesn't necessarily mean people will go out and buy the single. Also, it kinda felt like the single was rushed creatively and promotion wise.

She got a weekly ranking of #6 with 23,541 copies...pretty good in my opinion for a new artist.

I think it's safe to say she's got a career ahead of her now, especially if her next few singles do relatively well. Thank you Soba ni iru ne. =]

Looks like it'll easily hit 50k, possibly 55, not bad for the single after Soba ni iru ne...since we all knew it wouldn't sell anywhere near that.

And DIARY is still selling well. (I LOVE that album! Especially last letter). Good job Thelma <3

so what's the latest update on Aoyama ?

no thanks to Lovell (since I got him hooked on Anna Tsuchiya's music) , I got hooked on her music as a form of repaying Lovell's kindness back

そばにいるね's still selling well & steadily , I wonder if there's a chance for anyone to top it off from her ? the JE bands are trying their best but it's not working so far

the JE bands tried their best to hustle the top spot from her but with little success

so close but yet so far

for me I'm surprised that her debut single ONE WAY did so badly at no.98 , it's funny that her 2nd single shot all the way right up to the top
