I can't wait to watch BEST FICTION tour! I've held off on watching it so far and it seems to be working. Just have to wait a little longer until I can get my copy!

I was thinking of what my favorite Namie's costumes are and the first one that comes to mind is the Matrix-ey outfit from Live Style 2006. That's just the coolest opening ever. Good job Namie!

^ In studio. In concerts, she shouts and rapes badly many songs, and goes out of control and out of breath. yes, she has a nice voice, but imo she's not specially gifted for singing. I still love her and I find her concerts very entertaining, but if you think her voice isn't annoying live and is "smooth and deep and calm" you are deaf xD

"rapes"? Not at all. I have yet to watch BF so I can't make the most accurate of judgments, but I trust what my fellow long-time Namie fans say about it. The general consensus seems to be that she rocked the show! We have to remember that this was the 58th concert date out of 60, so she's not going to be at her best vocally.

Her voice is very unique and above average in Japanese music even if she's not the best of the generation or something. I don't know how you can call it annoying, wouldn't a singer with a high-pitched voice be more annoying shouting? I love to hear her energetic and shouting; her voice becomes much deeper then, lol.

yeah.. thats what Im thinking about.

I dont like her vocal for all especially WILD ruin that song very bad. the whole LIVE her voice is so flat. but her expression, smile and dancing I realize they are very entertaining...
I should say best LIVE STYLE is her best tour in term of vocal

If you haven't seen all of her tours then you can't make such an assessment then! Seriously, SO CRAZY has to be one of the best if not THE best.

Live Style is definitely not her best in terms of vocals, but it's still one of my favorites! I was watching PLAY tour on my iPod before bed and I didn't realize how PERFECT it was. The Darling - Come - Luvotomy segment just shows you how much of a great live performer Namie is. Her lungs must be as chiseled as Gerard Butler's Leonidas abs. I don't know how she does it. Such a small lady. But she does have a trainer and all that.

While I do think her live vocals currently aren't as great as they used to be, I've never thought her voice was annoying at all. Her live voice is still pretty strong now, but you should go back and watch her performances from the 90s - her vocals were pretty amazing then I think.

I think this being one of the last dates of a super long tour had something to do with it as well.

^ I prefer her live recordings over her studio recordings(but i do that for nearly every artist, music needs to be done live), its somewhat more enjoyable to me and less polished sounding, her studio recordings belong to the most boring I ever heard

i don't find her voice annoying live. and i think her voice is smooth, deep and calm live. and i'm not deaf lol.

sure, best fiction tour isn't the best vocally, but her voice was perfect for 99% in her other tours imo

and i also listen to her concert rips more than her studio recordings.

My roommate has a ticketmaster account, and they send him updates of concerts that are going to be in our area (with a radius of a couple states), and he had received an email that included a performance for Amuro Namie in Las Vegas, but shortly thereafter received an email saying there was an error in the previous email, but it didn't say what the error was. Has anyone heard anything about this??? I highly doubt she's going to be in Vegas, but...who knows?

i thought in PLAY tour, it was hard to hear her real voice over the studio recording they played SUPER loud for her dance songs. it annoyed me.. so even if her voice isn't AMAZING in BF tour i like that it all sounds live. but what irked me the most about BF tour is the way she sang Do me more. she didn't sing it correctly. it's weird that just a couple changes in pitch can make me hate a song, if the original Do me more was sung like that i'd seriously hate it. but it isn't so i love it

^ Weird, I downloaded one of the rips from the concert in Japan where she was SICK and I loved the way she sang it. I think she gave a different kind of energy to the song... and the drums make it even more epic.

^ i agree with you once again xD

i never really cared for do me more, but the bft performance made me love it.
mainly because of the added drums towards the end of the song. they really completed the song for me

I was lovin' Do Me More when it leaked, and the video made me love it ten times more. Namie was being such a tease in that video!

I used to at WILD when I saw it the first view times, because of the cheesy backdrops.

I think Namie has one of the most pleasant voices in the Japanese music industry.

You don't get a lot of artists that have a voice like hers that isn't "eccentric" like koda kumi's for example.

I do dislike when she yells though.

@identity: I agree, she left out some notes, especially the ones at the ends of the verses in the chorus...and it bugged me so much lol

WILD was the same...but I kinda let it go...

She has a nice voice but I can't hear her if she takes the mic too far away from her mouth >_>

^ same..it's like 2 seconds of silence....then namie when she does that @_@ it just kills the song's mood

but for those that got the BF DVD/blu-ray, the poster wasn't folded inside the DVD right?
